Pending court approval, ousted Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich will join the cast of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! when it bows in June on NBC, the network announced Tuesday. The show, which is based on the U.K. format of the same name and previously ran for one season on ABC in 2003, drops 10 celebrities into a Costa Rican jungle to face challenges. NBC has not announced the rest of the cast. I’m a Celebrity will run nightly for four weeks in June.
Blagojevich, who was taped allegedly trying to sell Barack Obama’s Senate seat, recently pleaded not guilty to charges of racketeering conspiracy, extortion conspiracy, attempted extortion, making false statements, and wire fraud. If convicted, Blagojevich faces up to 30 years in prison.

thats a new reality tv low…
This is adding to my anger with NBC…

I think Rod has already summed this up better than anyone else:
“I’ve got this thing and it’s f—-ing golden! I’m not giving it up for f—-ing nothing. I’m not gonna do it. And, and I can always use it. I can parachute me in there.”
This is ridiculous. NBC is turning into Fox from the late ’90s. Hopefully Rod will be too busy participating in a more real “get me out of here” situation this summer.
Can’t we just ship him to Costa Rica and leave him there? Besides, he needs court approval to leave the country, and how knows if he’ll get it.
A new low for a network already digging furiously. Maybe Rod can fill in when Jay goes on vacation. How do they have 30 Rock, the Office and FNL?
**** you NBC!
That guy is such a piece of sh**. He is a total media whore, please do not give him any more attention! Maybe he’ll just go away.
IF he gets the “ok” by the courts, it would make a mockery out of the U.S. legal system. A crook like him. Yeah, yeah… I know– innocent until proven guilty, but sometimes it’s just a formality. NBC’s garbage. All those ‘Married… With Children’“NBC sucks” jokes were accurate, then outdated and now back in fashion.
I know what I *won’t* be watching in June…
it’s the equivalent of putting Charles Manson on American Idol, Adolf Hitler on Dancing with the Stars and Al Capone on Shot at love with Tila Tequila
So let me get this straight… NBC wants to bring back this failed series with this failure of a person? Who is doing the programming at NBC? I think they are failures, too.

Are you kidding me? This guy is hysterical! I will watch this just for him. Talk about a character!
Yes! Send him to the jungle. But only if they promise to lose him there.
