You’ve been asking me, I’ve been asking myself, and finally, I’ve gone and asked Big Bang Theory executive producer Bill Prady: What the frak is Read the full post.

I think really close relationship would be really great. like best mates close.

  • Miranda

    Yes. I love them.

  • Geek Girl

God. Please no. Amy and Sheldon are a better match.

  • Celia

I highly doubt it and if they did I would probably lose interest in this show. It just wouldn’t make sense. I have yet to see how people ship it to begin with.

Besides, the newest episode shows how Sheldon becomes protective of Amy when he gets the wrong idea of Leonard making a move on her. XD

I really think they are meant to get together. they each make up for what the other person lacks. Sheldon is organised, a brainiac, anti-social, a robot. While Penny is fun, outgoing, energetic and happy. All of which Sheldon isn’t.

    the chemistry is PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!

just because amy and sheldon are similar doesnt mean they are “much better” thats just how the writers want you to feel. i like them both, as separate characters but together, no. its boring.

opposites attract and clearly after last night we know lenny is all based on sex so whatever, lets have something based on a real friendship.

I totally agree with you on this comment. Leonard is a bit too needy, as viewers we know that in order to even do it most of the time Penny had to be drunk. There is nothing there but that, seems Sheldon is doing more for Penny than Leonard has ever done for her.
Their friendship is something I would like to see grow into something more, have him come to the realization slowly that she is the ‘constant’ in his equation. The man fought off a dog to have dinner with her!! If that isn’t love, I don’t know what is!!

Sheldon is Asexual…Penny is Sexual. Sheldon is a little boy, not a man. Penny is a woman…

That would be dumb and ridiculous if they had a sexual relationship…

    • Alexandra

Asexual?? Really? Then how come he looked at her when she was naked? There has never been a mention about him being asexual.
He is just a man that is dedicated to his mind, he is a genius and the thinking he has is way above the comprehension of us all. Penny however seems to bring him down a notch and connects him to the world, the kindness she shows him is what he needs to make him complete.
*Also he did call her extremely attractive*

  • John

and another thing, Penny is more like Sheldon’s mommy figure, so NO! that would be ‘ew’…

  • Bang

    YES!!!!!!
Can’t you see little blonde brainiacs running around!

  • Alexandra

they totally should. The chemistry between penny and sheldon is undeniable. These two characters have pretty much been engaging in foreplay for the last four years. I am not saying throw them in bed together, but this is something the show should be working towards.
Anyone can see that there isn’t even half that fire or chemistry between Leonard and Penny, it worked maybe for 5 seconds a couple of years ago, now it seems forced.
Tell me having Penny teach Sheldon about the birds and the boobs wouldn’t be fun? She obviously cares about him and this could be a smart road that the show takes, but slowly, ala Niles and Daphne?

  • T’koiya

They don’t have any chemistry?! look at the way they bicker back and forth and how cute they look together. I ADORE them as a couple. SHENNY 4 EVER!!!!! Yes they should be together. there is totally chemistry there
