Spoiler alert: Is House going to the l***y **n?

Stop reading if you don’t want to know what may possibly happen in the May 11 season finale of House. Everyone else, onward and downward…

For the asterisk quiz-challenged, the above headline poses the provocative question, "Is House going to the loony bin?"

And the answer is… I honestly don’t know, but it sure looks like it. Let’s review the evidence:

•    House is currently seeing dead people (in this case, Wilson’s cutthroat bitch of an ex, Amber).
•    The logline for the May 4 episode says, "House is willing to do the unthinkable to make his visions stop."
•    Last week, the show set up shop at New Jersey’s abandoned Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital to shoot scenes for next season.
•    I’m told something happens in the finale that is so shocking cast and crew were forced to sign confidentiality agreements.

The verdict: Duh. The only question is, will the Huddy sex happen before or after Dr. Crabby Crazy gets fitted for a straitjacket? Post your theories below! And if you can think of some other plot twist that would have prompted the show to travel 3000 miles to shoot scenes at a funny farm, I’m all ears!

THIS would be interesting… of course the confidentiality agreements are moot now that it’s out on the internet.

What is it with shows this season having to use Dead Characters to convey some form of mystery or suspense? It worked for 6 feet under and Rescue me but i think the well may be dry after this year.

  • Dr. J

Don’t forget that Dr. Wilson’s brother was at a psychiatric facility…maybe it involves that?

  • Nicotine

I don’t think House can beat last year’s season finale, but I welcome them to try. I love Amber, but I agree that the ‘seeing dead people’ angle is washed up. House is so innovative, that the writers could think of something else. I have faith that they can.

  • AE

Maybe we could mask the spoilers a little better? Some people don’t like to have things given away on the front page.

  • Dave

I think the stuff about Wilson’s brother may be a red herring. I get the feeling that House has been seeing things for longer than we’re aware of and maybe, just maybe, he’s already checked himself in as an outpatient.
Otherwise, we’re in that twilight zone where Walter Bishop (of another Fox show Fringe) resided for years. So if House is committed, how are the “ducklings” going to solve the medical mystery of the week without him. Er, and of course, Kutner.

  • Rudymom

I can’t believe that viewers aren’t up in arms about Amber’s return the way everyone freaked out about the return of Denny on Grey’s Anatomy! Especially since it was done first on GA to disastrous results!

  • Ana

To me, Huddy sex won’t happen this season, despite what you’re trying us to believe. Sorry!

  • Sofi

Why do I have the feeling, after reading this, that Bones and House are sort of the same with the storylines? I don’t watch House but may be he’ll end up next to Zack at the looney bin!

  • rebecca

Meh, your evidence is far from conclusive.
Rudymom: maybe the difference is that Amber isn’t going to be sleeping with anyone – or the fact that House has been doing dream sequences and hallucinations and near-death experiences ever since its first season, so it just feels normal for this show.

  • Reine

I hope he isn’t crazy or something, I don’t like that plot and I don’t like him seeing Amber. Why does he always have to be sick or almost dying? +sighs* I know he’s a main character and they suffer a lot but this is like too much. I hope he’s ok or just that he’s depressed for kutner’s stuff and it only lasts until the end of the season.
    Bye.

  • Lorylee

I think it would be awesome if the “looney bin” theory was switched to he has been working with a psychiatrist at that facility all of this time and that he has been doing “experiments” on his co-workers all this time.

  • jan

I think the brilliance of House is that they seem to take over used themes and twist them to make the audience say “I did not see that one coming!” I mean, look at the genre of medical procedurals as a whole. House is different. It is very unique in their characters and storylines. I imagine the return of the dead hallucinations will be the same. I, for one, can’t wait to see what they do!

  • Paige

Just because they are shooting at an abandoned psychiatric hospital doesn’t mean that House is going to be a patient. After the furor that went along with Grey’s Anatomy, I don’t really see House’s writers going in that direction. I wonder, could House have been in the looney bin for awhile, like years?

  • Mina

Hey Ana Huddy sex has been confirmed SEVERAL times–many times by Katie Jacobs and David Shore themselves. So don’t lose hope.
