What would a Monday Wednesday Thursday Tuesday be without a fresh batch of exclusive casting scoops? A pretty dull Monday Wednesday Thursday Tuesday!
• Burn Notice has tapped Michael Weston — the real Michael Weston — to guest star opposite Jeffrey Donovan (aka the fake Michael Westen) in a season 3 episode. Weston (the real one from House and Six Feet Under) will play Spencer, an unbalanced MIT grad who turns to Westen (the fake one) when he uncovers a plot to sell the names of undercover spies. Dude thinks aliens are behind it, hence the unbalanced part.
• One-time Law & Order: CI detective Alicia Witt will guest star as a sexy gynecologist that Hank (David Duchovny) crushes on in the upcoming third season of Californication. Additionally, In Treatment‘s Embeth Davidtz has been cast as the wife of Peter Gallagher’s dean in 10 episodes of the Showtime dramedy.
• An Ugly Betty source confirms that polar-opposite View hostesses Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck will play themselves in the May 21 season finale. Here’s the set-up: Daniel is invited to appear as a guest to discuss the latest issue of Mode magazine… or so he thinks. The ladies quickly turn the tables and start grilling him about his dying girlfriend. BTW, if you haven’t heard, Betty‘s returning one week earlier on April 30!! Also, SNL‘s Rachel Dratch appears in this episode as a Mode staffer!! Why the hell am I screaming?!

first!
That’s just what UB needs: more hags. The View sucks and having Behar dirty up my screen with her foul self isn’t doing UB any favors at all. Who’s Rachel Dratch? What’s SNL? Didn’t they cancel that show when Will Ferrell left as the last funny cast member?
To Ben: wow, ne-ga-TIVE!! Geez… The View can actually be good, if Barbara Walters is gone and if they have some good hot topics. And SNL can be funny if they have a good host.
Aww, I love Michael Weston! He was awesome on Scrubs and Psych, and I wish his PI character stuck around on House. I even squealed out loud when he showed up on Supernatural to play the younger version of his real-life father. That was AWESOME. And now he gets to play against “Michael Westen”? Ha!
The View is really reaching out for cross promotions. They are also apart of a storyline on WWE Friday Night Smackdown.

Why would someone go on The View to talk about a friggin magazine. It has to be believable to be funny. Ugly Betty = FAIL.
Is Ugly Betty coming back a week early because the ratings for the comedies replacing it were bad? One can hope!
@Sara: “And SNL can be funny if they have a good host” … and good writing. Even the best hosts – Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin – can’t keep a poorly written show afloat.
I love ugly betty, but I will probably not watch due to elizabeth hasselbeck. I dislike her THAT much!
Californication is the hottest show on tv: http://www.actressscene.com/2008/09/madeline-zima-in-californication.html
I hope Burn Notice decides to go all meta and change Michael Weston’s character name from Spencer to Jeffrey Donevan (with the slight misspelling and all).

that’s pretty funny about having 2 Weston’s on the show.
that role means that Mike (in the show) is going to be back up to his old tricks. i honestly don’t know how he’s going to balance that and running from management after what happened last season.
while I still love me some ‘Betty’, wish the producers/writers would stop with the stunt-casting and WORK ON THE SCRIPTS! while the last couple of episodes (before ‘vacation’) were somewhat more tolerable, there’s still too much silliness. especially in Betty’s character. she’s been at Mode for awhile now. yet she still acts like a kid outta high school being all silly and girly-gosh. while I wouldn’t want her to become Wilhelmina (c’mon ~ there’s only ONE Vanessa Williams), they need to grow her character up. and what’s with those braces still now 35 years later?! the only two really crazy-silly characters worth NOT changing are Marc & Amanda. but only when they’re together. when they inter-act with others, they just come off as mean. not fun at all.
I can’t wait until season 2 of BN will come out on DVD. I enjoyed season 1. Jefferey Donovan is so hot.
Ugly Betty can’t wait until next week. I missed the show so much. I’m thrilled that ABC renewed it.
