Fox canceling Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles was lame, but who could expect anything less? They also canceled Futurama and Firefly. Guess I’ll have to wait another few years to start watching their channel again. TV has sucked a big one this year. At least I’ll have Caprica on Sci-Fi in 2010. :)

That’s why I never start a new show until it’s third season. If a show sounds good and gets a confirmation of a third season, I’ll download the back episodes and start enjoying it. It just doesn’t make sense to spend time and get invested in something that’s likely to get canceled. And frankly, it seems like the short-sighted networks cancel the majority of shows nowadays, even ones they advertise the crap out of. It’s a shame. I think the network’s pursuit of short-term profits is actually destroying their audience.

And what’s going on with The Game on The CW? Any answers yet?

Had sadly expected TSCC but bummed about the Unusuals, was really starting to click. Happy COld Case is coming back but hope for WAT, love that cast.

so since sarah connor is cancelled. Does that mean a possible David Silver return to 90210?

Surprised about WaT over Cold Case- I thought CC was struggling in the ratings for some time now. But I could not be happier about The Unusuals being cancelled- that will teach you, Harold. It tried to be too clever by half and the writing could have been done by most high school students. Castle has one thing going for it and that is Nathan cause it sure ain’t the writing there either!

I’m really disappointed to hear about Terminator as well.
I really didn’t like Dollhouse at first, though the last few episodes turned out really well and it’s got some promise. I think it’s fair to give it a second shot.
In the case of Terminator, I think FOX gave it a fair shake; no one expected it to get a second season and it did. The simple fact is the ratings weren’t there and we’ll never really know why. It seems to be generating a lot of buzz, particularly in light of its expected cancellation.
Being pissed at FOX for Firefly… yes, they seriously screwed up there. Being pissed over TSCC; they did give it two chances to find an audience.

PLEASE I am just getting back into the show now (without a trace) after never being home when it was on. It is such a well written show with so many quality actors.

I can’t really bring myself to care. I think the Terminator franchise has a neat mythology behind it, but it simply wasn’t handled well by this show. The whole thing just felt wooden to me. And while having a messed up family and being tracked down by cybernetic organisms from the future inevitably leads to bleak storytelling, it’s no excuse for bad acting. The only thing good about this show was Summer Glau, and yet nearly everyone else on it acted as robotic as she did. I say good riddance.

I am beyond p*ssed that they canned The Unusuals. I thoroughly enjoyed the show and was eagerly awaiting new episodes. Just one more reason to never start watching new shows :(

    TSCC’s cancelled?!!! Nooooooooooooooo…..
    My heart just sank.
I thought with Dollhouse getting renewed, Terminator will follow suit. But they didn’t get it… So sad…

They would have been smart to bring Sarah Connor back for 13 more episodes and tell producers its over after that and they’re damn well better be some action and interesting stuff each episode. I wasn’t too impressed with some of Season 2. If the show picks up its ratings, it lives. If not, ends at 13 with closure and makes for better DVD sales!

  • Ryan

Oh I’m a sucker for mysteries but haven’t watched Cold Case yet. Can someone please explain why a show going into Season 7 isn’t out on flipping DVD?!

  • ryryr

I don’t understand how Crap like Private Practise stays on the air…but good shows like The Unusuals and Dirty Sexy Money get canned???
I really liked the Unusuals- it was a good fun show, way better than Castle!!

  • Em

*sigh* So disappointed about The Unusuals. Though, I’m not surprised. I think it was just too quirky for most people. It’s a shame too. I was glad to finally get to see the completely underrated Adam Goldberg get a good, solid part.
