Why am I not surprised? ABC has just been disappointing people left and right recently.
Let’s add Samantha Who? with Pushing Daisies to the list of shows that were actually some of the best on tv at the time but were shafted due to unfortunate circumstances, crappy promotion, and time slot problems all on ABC’s part.
If it weren’t for Grey’s and Desperate Housewives being on ABC, I would stop watching the channel all together.
Good thing they kept all of their crap reality shows. Seriously, it saddens me when a well written, witty show is striving for ratings (the cancelled) whilst brainless entertainment made for and cast with a bunch of generation whinesters continues to thrive. Great job on viewing quality entertainment America!
How do you spell “HOOOOORAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!”
Boo!! I really liked this show. First Pushing Daisies, then Life on Mars, and now this? Bad decision ABC!
Hey Mike, Why is the cheat sheet so slow? Man it stutters and freezes so bad, none of EW’s other pages act that way! Tweet!
Typical ABC – Quality program gets scrapped in order to hold on to crap lie Wife Swap, The Bachelor, and that ilk. Sorry, Christina Applegate, you deserve better.
Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone, Life on Mars, The Unusuals, Samantha Who all gone.
The Bachelor, Wipe Swap, Supernanny all renewed.
It seems that there is little room for unique television shows on broadcast TV. I am finding more and more I am turing to USA, TNT, and FX for shows that are not reality based or formulaic Cop/Doctor/Lawyer shows.
Sad.
Sad, really sad!
I’ve said this in other fora, but does anyone wonder whether one of the most respected sitcoms ever (M*A*S*H), would make it today? TV executives just don’t seem to have the patience…
Oh sure..,.. we want to watch more legal shows, reality shows and all around “desensitizing” shows in our evening hours. What is wrong with y’all? I was enjoying having a show that made me laugh and endeared me to the characters!
Y’all are Idiots at ABC.
A = A funny show
B = Brilliant cast
C = Cancel it!
Such a shame, this show had a great cast and whilst it wasn’t the funniest shows on TV it definitely had promise.
Even though I love Scrubs, it had its series finale and if anything wasn’t going to come back it should’ve been Scrubs.
I am never ever ever, never ever going to watch “The Batchelor” again. This is my solumn vow of punishment to a network that devalues quality TV. Plus, it’s for my own good.
This was a GREAT show. It had one of the funniest ensemble casts on TV. I’ll really miss it! : (
It’s a shame that Samantha Who has been cancelled…. it’s a shame that other ABC shortlived shows are gone too – like Eli Stone (great premise, great show), Pushing Daisies, and a year and a half ago, October Road. Too many fake, unrealistic Reality Shows!!!!
