Chuck is the only NBC show I watch. Glad it is Mondays. Wish it was a full season.
The part I find the most laughable: They cancel My Name Is Earl because ‘they are getting younger’ but then schedule Jay Leno 5 nights a week. Yeah, nothing says “younger” like Jay Leno. RIP Earl, you were the funniest thing on TV.
Here’s some Medium energy for the powers that be at NBC. I will greatly miss it..and as you have copped out of 10pm NBC dramas, I will be copping out of NBC at 10pm.
I’m thrilled that NBC heard us and picked up Chuck, THANK YOU!! But keeping it on Monday nights, opposite DWTS, makes it sound like they really don’t want it to succeed. Thank goodness Earl and Kath and Kim are gone, but Parks & Rec should have been cancelled, too. Hard to say, as I love Rashida Jones, but it’s not a good show.
Bizarre. After reading the NBC/ABC lineups, I realized that I apparently no longer watch these stations. And I watch a lot of TV! CBS and Fox have really stepped it up in recent years (e.g. Fringe, The Mentalist, Bones, etc.).
And what on earth is Jay Leno going to talk about five days a week? Especially since there are now at least five fewer shows full of potential stars to interview! Idiotic.
“A couple of our shows were aging as we were getting younger,” explains NBC Entertainment Co-Chairman Ben Silverman.
Let me finish Dumb Dumberson’s quote for him, “…which is why we have Jay Leno on the primetime schedule 5 nights a week, ya know, to nail that 67-68 yr. old youth demo.”
Seriously??? Do we really need Leno every night at 10PM. Law & Order at 8PM??? Chuck mid-season?? Wow- no wonder NBC is last
I can’t believe you canceled My Name is Earl NBC! You just lost someone watching your network. The only thing good left that you have going is Heroes. Don’t screw that up!
I won’t be watching NBC until 2010 when my beloved Chuck comes back. SO, so glad it’s coming back even for only 13 episodes.
I hope that this stupid Jay Leno show bombs! WTF? Do they really need to take up that much prime time with this?
I never got “Earl.” I tried, mostly for Jaime Pressly’s sake, but I couldn’t do it.
I think that they have made a huge leap on this Leno thing, and it makes everything else so much more difficult. I wish that some things were different, but Silverman may come out of this looking pretty smart (remember, the game is turning a profit, not getting ratings through a broken system like the Neilsens).
The Leno Show is a HORRIBLE mistake!!
What will Chuck be up against next season? Do we have to DVR it again?
I’m just glad that The Office and Parks and Recreation are still around!
