Nip/Tuck
‘s “Hope Diamond of transsexuals” is back!

Famke Janssen has cut a deal to reprise her role as gender-bending sociopath Ava Moore for the FX drama’s seventh and final season, series creator Ryan Murphy confirmed via the show’s online fan forum.

“Just finished the last [Nip/Tuck] script today — the 100th episode,” Murphy wrote. “The end. Very strange. But I thought I would confirm something here on the forum, since you’ve all been so great and loyal: Ava Moore (Famke!) returns for the final two episodes.”

Ava, arguably one of the show’s most memorable characters ever, was last seen jetting off to Paris shortly after completing her final gender reassignment surgery at the end of season 2.

FX has yet to set a date for Nip/Tuck‘s seventh season. Heck, they still haven’t announced when the sixth season will air! The upside? It leaves plenty of time for you guys to weigh in on Janssen’s comeback in the comments section!

Hey Mike. I think your timeline is off. The fifth season finished earlier this year. Aren’t they splitting up the sixth and final season? Also can;t wait for Ava to come back!

  • Neil

Ausiello…. Fifth season ended its run already a few months back…. so really only the 6th season is left!

  • Daniel

Hello- the second half of the fifth season has already aired. It ended mid-march.

I loved Ava!! Now if only they could dig Gina up, life would be grand. I still say Gina and Christian’s heated exchanges were one of the best things about the show.

best news ever! after they wrongly killed off Gina last season, i’m thrilled to have Ava back! honestly, the second season was the best, and the Julia hallucination (and lip-lock with Ava) was my favorite episode.

AWESOME!!!!AVA WAS MY FAVORITE TROUBLE MAKER EVER ON NIP/TUCK…WELCOME HOME…

cool ~ didn’t we last see her leaving her DEAD and rotting son in her house??? how’s she going to explain that LOL

according to wiki, the last two seasons start jan 2010 and jan 2011 and its just season six split in two not season six and seven but whatever. i think the ava thing is awesome b/c i always wondered about her, just please don’t bring the carver brother/sister duo back, i hated that storyline with a passion. i just don’t know what else nip/tuck can do to shock us for the last two seasons b/c its pretty much done everything humanly possible.

Ava Moore was probably my favorite character besides the Carver. I’m so glad they’re bringing her back!Nip/Tuck is one of the best shows ever. I can’t understand how they want to end it. I can’t imagine it ever being bad. All the other shows suck. LOST is also ending. What will I do!!!!

so exciting! season 2 was my favorite of the show in large part due to famke and her crazy character. the finale was so great, you can youtube the last 5 minutes, set to art garfunkel’s ‘all i know’ it’s such a beautiful handful of scenes. to the guy who thinks she killed her son: didn’t he kill himself? ill have to dig up the dvds. ava returning for the last 2 episodes makes the last couple of unveven seasons worth it

I Used to really like this show but the last two season have been pretty painful to watch. I can’t believe they are doing two more seasons, maybe the writing will get better. Glad that they’ll bring Ava though, good way to go out.
