'The Office' video: Amy Ryan stops by with scoop!

Tags:

If my Dream Emmy Ballot had included the guest acting categories there’s no question The Office‘s Amy Ryan would have made the cut. It’s not like she’ll need the extra push though. It’s a foregone conclusion that her freakin’ hilarious work as Michael’s soul mate Holly will earn her a nod. It’s also a foregone conclusion that if Ryan were to ever pay me a visit at work I would do two of the following things: gush about her awesomeness and grill her for scoop about Holly’s inevitable return next season. I think I succeeded on both counts…

That you lured anyone into your own private smurfville is astonishing. Amy Ryan is either brave, disturbed or both.

OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!! i LOVE (said in a high fan girl kinda screech) amy ryan!!!
    OK, deep, calming breaths, and…
Seriously folks, Amy rocks! To be so phemomenally skanky in Gone Baby Gone, and then turn it around to be so awesomely goofy/sweet/nerdy/silly/perfect for Michael on The Office and just so darn normal/great on The Wire…well, she’s just stinkin’ perfect! I rank her right up there with Susan Sarandon and Patricia Clarkson in total actress goddessdom.
    Carry on.

Cute interview. She’s great and I hope Amy comes back to The Office next season. She’s really funny.
By the way, I LOVE your office! I kept being distracted by all the awesome pop culture goodies behind you and Amy. Lucky dog. I’d love to have your office.

I want SO badly to like Holly, but she tends to annoy me. Her goofiness just isn’t funny to me (unlike Michael’s). Especially so closely in comparison to Carell, who is always spot-on.
Also, I don’t get the chemistry between her and Michael that everyone raves about. All I’ve ever felt between them was awkwardness. I can’t buy her as his ‘soulmate’.
That being said, I LOVE seeing Michael so in love and happy. He definitely deserves it. I just wish I could bring myself to like object of his love.

If a Guest Star category had been included, I can see Alex O’Loughlin winning for his mesmerizing role in Criminal Minds, in the episode the Big Wheel. The finest acting I have seen on TV for a very long time.

      Was he shirteless?

is she and michael ever going to get together?

Amy, you have to go back!!

I thought that the Emmys did have a guest star category – and I second the idea that Alex O’Loughlin guesting as tormented serial killer Vincent Rowlings in “The Big Wheel” (Criminal Minds 4.22) should be the top choice. “Tormented” and “Serial Killer” should give a clue as to the theme of the episode.

You can dream, CBS didn’t even submitted him for Hawaii Five-O.But they submitted Scott and DD Kim.Seems they are not that happy with his acting.

For best guest starring role, Alex O’Loughlin should win for his amazing portrayal of Vincent Rowlings on Criminal Minds, 4/29/09, “The Big Wheel”. Alex made me cry for a serial killer. I have never seen such a brilliant actor – Alex is headed for many Emmys and Oscars!

Sorry no Emmy for Best Lead actor in a shirtless scene yet.
