I love Turk and Cox, but the relationships they both had w/ JD made the show. Hopefully it will still be as funny.

    RIP Scrubs

Ok, I <3 Scrubs so damn much but this doesn't sound too appealing to me. What they should do is make this a spin off. I find it hard to accept Scrubs without JD as the lead, with his narratives and off beat imaginings. Now, I also hear there will be no Neil Flynn? No Janitor? This girl's heart is crushed! I love the Janitor, Neil's presence will be sorely missed. No more scene's like 'Knife-Wrench'! I don't know what to think of Scrubs with very little JD and no Janitor! Especially with Turk being a lead, his and JD's bromance was like another character itself. My gosh, there is so much change going on! But, alas, I am a die hard Scrubs fan that's been there through thick and thin… now I suppose I'll be there through very little JD and no Janitor. I'll miss your weirdness Neil Flynn!!!

There has been spinoffs that have done well. Frasier anyone? And he was an establish character. I mean there were Mork and Mindy and Laverene and Shirley both from Happy Days, but they only showed up a few times. And then there is Family Matters (also a spinoff) And what about Melrose Place?
Some spinoffs do well. Of course we also have our Joeys and Aftermashes. But let’s not call denounce Scrubs 2.0 yet.
Maybe people would feel better if it was called that?

Just saw the new episodes. IT SUCKS!!

Lighten up, people. Scrubs IN ANY FORM will be better than the dozens of worthless reality shows infecting television. I look forward to yet another Bill Lawrence creation. In the words of a certain NFL wide receiver who now resides in Buffalo…get your popcorn ready!

I think that the last episode was AWESOME. Great ending to a show I loved, that was my family.
Now THIS? I mean Dr. Cox and Turk will be cool. And I hope that the others will guest star frequently. J.D. and Elliot get married, and have their own baby. Since Bill created it I think he’ll do it right, I hope. Because if it bombs I will be so upset. And what’s with the name dropping? Will it really be filmed live studio audience?

I hope they keep the same interns as last season…they were hilarious! I loved jo and sunny and the skinny guy with the deep voice….it will suck without the janitor though

As a 2nd year medical student myself I am curious to see how the new season will portray med student life. There are a lot of great TV worthy stories to tell in real life medical school. So I can actually see this scrubs style interpretation of this theme working quite well with the right cast etc.

If they can do it right, it would be great.

Turk and Dr. Cox would make great teachers, and with JD and Elliot making Guest appearances in 6-8 Episodes, to transition the viewers into the new show format, and cast, im looking forward to it.

As for a Name, I think ” Scrubs : Medical School ” or ” Scrubs : School ” Would be good, all i know it that ” Scrubs ” Has to be in the name, and the Title Song still has to be ” Im No Superman ” by lazlo Bane.

Season 8 Ended on a great Note, and it left off on a good note, JD & Elliot get married, and Dr. Cox is the chief of medicine , as Turk is the Chief Of Surgery, however it breaks my heart to see the Scrubs we know and love, come to an end.

It will be missed, but Season 9 Could bring new life to the show, if it works it.

who was the famous actor? i don’t recognize any of the new people…

  • Mathew

Wow, this is awesome. Turk and Dr. Cox as full time people, thats awesome. does this mean karla is still there as Turks wife? It sounds like an awesome Semi-Spinoff :D can’t wait for it here in Aus

Truly depressed with this season. I’ve probably watched every episode from seasons 1-8, 40+ times. They didn’t even maintain their characters. They are all different, and it’s very upsetting. HATE IT!!!
