Will Smith's daughter Willow to make TV debut on Nickelodeon's 'True Jackson'

Tags: , News

Will-Smith-daughter_l Will Smith’s daughter Willow, who appeared opposite her dad in I Am Legend and played Countee Garby in Kit Kittredge: An American Girl, will make her small-screen debut in July opposite Keke Palmer in Nickelodeon’s True Jackson, VP. Smith, 8, will play a younger version of True (Palmer), a 15 year old who is the vice president of a major fashion company. Smith taped the episode last month.

“Since I have two daughters, I’ve seen Kit Kittredge easily 100 times,” explains executive producer Andy Gordon. “While writing the finale, there seemed to be a moment that would work as a flashback to young True, and I immediately flashed on Willow. She is so adorable, I can’t imagine we won’t use her in the coming season.”

Ratings: 'I'm a Celebrity...' survives and 'Medium' thrives on Monday

On Monday, NBC’s reality series I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here debuted to an okay 6.4 million viewers, according to preliminary overnight ratings. The show tied ABC’s The Bachelorette during the 8-10 p.m. period. Meanwhile, NBC’s Medium actually scored the highest numbers of the night for any new episode of television, with a solid 7.4 million. And in late night, the debut episode of The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien dominated as expected, drawing the show’s best Monday overnight rating in four years — and attracting more viewers than any of the programs that aired in primetime.

Eminem/Bruno stunt at MTV Movie Awards was staged, sources say

Eminem-MTV-Bruno_l Sources close to MTV and Sacha Baron Cohen tell EW that the infamous stunt on the show between Eminem and the Bruno star was staged, with Eminem’s consent and participation. The sources confirm rampant speculation that the rapper simply must have known that the comedian, dressed in a thong and angel’s wings as his flamboyantly gay alter ego Bruno, would fall from a high-wire harness onto the rapper’s lap and straddle his face.

Meanwhile, comedy writer Scott Aukerman, who says he was the head comedy writer for the awards show, also claims on his blog that “the Bruno/Eminem incident was staged,” explaining “they rehearsed it at dress and yes, it went as far as it did on the live show.”

MTV and Eminem have had no comment.

'One Tree Hill' exclusive: Brian Austin Green got game?

Brian-Austin-Green-Hill_lOne Tree Hill may’ve hatched the perfect plan to get viewers over the loss of Chad Michael Murray: Hire an actor with three names more famous than his!

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Brian Austin Green is in advanced talks to join the cast next season as a series regular. “They’re ironing out a few issues,” notes a Tree Hill insider, “but it’s pretty much a done deal.”

Who is Green playing and what does it mean for Nathan (James Laferty)? Keep reading and find out!

The 90120 Sarah Connor Chronicles star would play Nathan’s Jerry Maguire-esque sports agent, Clayton.

As you know, Green had a starring role in The CW pilot Body Politic. When that show failed to snag a spot on the fall schedule, network brass approached him with the Tree Hill gig.

Clayton is one of three new characters OTH will be introducing in its seventh season. Still to be cast are the roles of Haley’s older sister and a model-actress Brooke hires to be the new face of her clothing line.

Okay, Tree huggers, this is your first glimpse of OTH 2.0. Do you like what you see? Sound off below!

Breaking: Famke Janssen returning to 'Nip/Tuck'

Nip/Tuck
‘s “Hope Diamond of transsexuals” is back!

Famke Janssen has cut a deal to reprise her role as gender-bending sociopath Ava Moore for the FX drama’s seventh and final season, series creator Ryan Murphy confirmed via the show’s online fan forum.

“Just finished the last [Nip/Tuck] script today — the 100th episode,” Murphy wrote. “The end. Very strange. But I thought I would confirm something here on the forum, since you’ve all been so great and loyal: Ava Moore (Famke!) returns for the final two episodes.”

Ava, arguably one of the show’s most memorable characters ever, was last seen jetting off to Paris shortly after completing her final gender reassignment surgery at the end of season 2.

FX has yet to set a date for Nip/Tuck‘s seventh season. Heck, they still haven’t announced when the sixth season will air! The upside? It leaves plenty of time for you guys to weigh in on Janssen’s comeback in the comments section!

Ratings: Regis Philbin rules sleepy Sunday with 'Million Dollar Password'

Tags: , News

CBS easily won the ratings race Sunday night, thanks mostly to the Regis Philbin-hosted Million Dollar Password (6.9 million) — though "race" is clearly overstating the case on a summer weekend night filled with repeats. But for those keeping track at home, a rerun of CBS’ Cold Case (7.6 million) trounced one of Desperate Housewives (2.7 million); same went for The Unit (5.7 million) over Brothers & Sisters (2.6 million).

Random scooplets: 'SVU,' 'Greek,' 'Gilmore Girls,' 'HIMYM,' and more!

Lawabdorder_l
Law & Order: SVU
: In tomorrow’s season finale, Olivia seduces one character and bitch slaps another. Care to guess which one is Stabler? BTW, there’s still no deal in place for Mariska Hargitay and Chris Meloni to return next season, but I hear talks are “moving in the right direction.”

Greek: Kadeem Hardison (A Different World) has been cast as Ashleigh’s father, Brian Howard, in a season 3 episode. Pops arrives on campus to spend Father-Daughter Weekend at the ZBZ sorority with Ash.

Gilmore Girls: Nope, the show isn’t returning. And I don’t have an update on a possible movie. I do, however, have good news for fans of Gilmore guy Matt Czuchry. The pilot for his new CBS legal drama, The Good Wife, doesn’t suck. Like, at all. (Watch a clip here.)

How I Met Your Mother: Dream Emmy Ballot nominee Neil Patrick Harris is dropping by Smurf Village my office later this week to discuss some pressing Mother issues as well as his stint hosting this Sunday’s Tony Awards. Send your Qs to ausielloscoop@ew.com sooner rather than later.

Blind item: The coolest casting coup in recent memory was supposed to be finalized this week. Now I’m hearing it’s not happening at all. The only hint I can give you is that it involves an actress we adore and a show we’re obsessed with. And no, this is not a follow-up to my Summer Glau-Dollhouse story.

'The Office' video: Amy Ryan stops by with scoop!

Tags:

If my Dream Emmy Ballot had included the guest acting categories there’s no question The Office‘s Amy Ryan would have made the cut. It’s not like she’ll need the extra push though. It’s a foregone conclusion that her freakin’ hilarious work as Michael’s soul mate Holly will earn her a nod. It’s also a foregone conclusion that if Ryan were to ever pay me a visit at work I would do two of the following things: gush about her awesomeness and grill her for scoop about Holly’s inevitable return next season. I think I succeeded on both counts…
