Scoop: 'CSI Miami' flashes back to '97

Tags: , News

Csi-miami_l Someone get David Caruso some reverse aging cream, STAT. Sources confirm that CSI: Miami is planning to kick off its eighth season with a circa ’97 origin episode that will show the early days of the team. It’s my understanding that the episode will be told from the point of view of a comatose Delko (Adam Rodriguez), who flashes back to his first murder case with the Miami-Dade PD. Delko, of course, was critically wounded in the season finale.

Thoughts?!

    Sounds very interesting.
All I’ve got to say though: Rory Cochrane better be there as Speedle!

I’m a CSI:Miami fan, and while I know people think DC is over the top and ridiculous, I STILL LOVE this show! I’m not sure how they casting/makeup dept will “youth” the characters, but I can’t wait! Thanks Aus!!!

does that mean speedle is coming back?
    just a thought

Maybe Caruso will sport some Pop-era Bono sunglasses.

If it means bringing back Speed (Rory Cochrane) then I’m watching! If not… then its back to ignoring this train wreck. It is the only one of the CSI franchise I can’t stand: too much of a Horatio/Caruso ego trip.

so – does this mean Lt. Megan Donner (Kim Delaney) will be back – she was the leader of the team back then, wasnt she?

Can we get Kim Delaney back for this one?? Lol.

Can we get Kim Delaney back for this one too? Lol.

    Will Khandi Alexander be back?

No way Delko dies. The guy is a f’n Termintor. He took a Sniper rifle shot to the skull and is still walking around fighting crime.

I think this is an interesting idea for this show to do a sort of start over and as Caruso described in filming of the finale, that this coming season would a “restart” of sorts. However, enough with Delko being injured and in Coma’s!!! Seriously, I am getting a little tired of them constantly beating up on him physically. I don’t think he will die b/c many sources have said he will be back…I just hope they don’t use this event to change his character yet again!!!…no amnesia please!! That scenario is getting old…on just about EVERY show!

I used to like this show back when it began and Caruso could act. It’ll be interesting to see how they flash back a decade. Will they have some of the many missing cast members return or will they find some bizarre way to work around them? Will Caruso act or chew scenery? Will everything be BRIGHT ORANGE and LOUD or more normal the way it was when the show began? Should be interesting.

The best comedy on tv continues to get funnier. Is it me or was Speed a monotone character with no emotion. Caruso at least has one emotion the soft speaking voice and the constant infatuation with his sunglasses and himself.

“This look like…(pauses to take sunglasses dramatically on/off)..a chronic-historises”!
