'Mother' boss on Emmy nod and next season's 'horror' theme

After getting snubbed for four consecutive years, How I Met Your Mother finally scored an Emmy nomination for best comedy series this morning. Read the full post.

    “Clearly if How I Met Your Mother wins the Emmy for best comedy” then we can officially announce that Television comedy has hit its nadir.
    By the way, Pepper, as for KofQ, Stiller was the worst part of the show, completely off-key with the rest of the show, blunderbussing around doing his “puerile” retread of his Frank Costanza shtick ad nauseum.
    And that’s why I mentioned it. It certainly wasn’t Genius, but it had more laughs per show than a half season’s worth of HIMYM?
    Comedy is subjective, and we all have our tastes. But How I Met Your Mother is a comedic Cr**fest. If it was a soup, it would be “Cream of Bland.”

    Horror Theme? Maybe we find out that Ted’s wife will turn out to be Sarah Conner, and Ted will spend several episodes being staulked by Summer Glau.

    It makes the most sense to have him meet his future wife and have the relationship develop over quite a few episodes and possibly even season six. There’s room for all sorts of character growth with their new relationship, and it will be hilarious to see how it plays in parallel to Robin & Barney’s growing relationship. That promises to be fun, and, in case anyone couldn’t remember, I believe the final episode states that she was a student in his class.
