I’m going to say that it’s either someone on Burn Notice, Nurse Jackie, or True Blood. Mainly because they look like shows that would have people on it that would shoot their relatives (I don’t watch them, so I wouldn’t know).
Well it certainly sounds like a plausible story line for Rescue Me! I wouldn’t put a shooting past any character in Tommy’s family… they’re crazy like that.
Well, if a certain preview for next week’s (now this week’s) epsiode is any indication, then I would say a certain female lead on Burn Notice.
Grace in Saving Grace, or Mary in In Plain Sight? Grace because of the angel angle, or Mary because of her wacky family.
Please, please tell me it’s Nancy!
I agree with Rowan. I think Andy will shoot Nancy.
That is totally Nancy from Weeds.
Well I don’t watch most of those, but as for True Blood, not really a big chance there… it’s just not in the cards for anyone to get shot in the chest repeatedly by a relative on that show unless you’re Tara or Sookie, neither of which would get shot by Lettie Mae, Lafayette, or Jason (the relatives)… And, Sookie isn’t exactly Anti-heroine..
Weeds, it could totally be Celia or Nancy, seeing as how both have plenty of family who wouldn’t really have a problem shooting either in the chest. Most would love to shoot Celia in the chest. Nancy is iconically anti-heroic on her part. That is what she desperately pours into the character to keep us from liking her too much. Because, honestly, it’s hard not to love Mary Louise Parker, but Nancy is easy to hate… occasionally…
It could so very easily be a ploy of Nancy’s…
Or Nancy pissed off Shane or Andy enough to get it done. Not Silas.
Or Celia has finally been sent packing from the show. As great as the actress is, I HATE CELIA.
Dennis Leary on Rescue Me…He was taking about his desire to have his character be dead for the last season on The View a few weeks ago. He said writers didn’t like the idea but he was pushing for it.
Um, Burn Notice, because, well obviously in the previews that seem to be over a period of time not just next week, Fiona is shot out of nowhere and I thought I remembered casting of an Irish actor from Fi’s past.
True Blood. Eric.
“Anti-hero”
HAS to be Nurse Jackie. I could see her husband snapping if he finds out the truth.

Seeing as how there are no anti-heroine leads on The Closer, it can’t be Mad Men because the season will barely start, not end in the timeframe. An anti-heroine (Pam? Maryanne? Lorena?) for True Blood would not be lethal by gunshot, and arguably none are leads. I’m going with the obvious “not big hint” that it’s Fiona on Burn Notice, since, you know, the promos show it pretty clearly. However, we only see it once, not repeatedly, and it’d probably be resolved within the following two episodes of the season.
I really don’t think it’s True Blood. I don’t see Sookie shooting Jason, or vice-versa.
In the next 3 months? The closer, Nurse Jackie, Weeds, True Blood, and Entourage will have ended, right? Most of these shows only have about 12 episodes per season. Rescue Me still as a ways to go since they have a very long season. Mad Men is just starting. I can only think that it’s one of the two. Rescue is the obvious choice but I wouldn’t guess Tommy. One of the drunks is gonna get it though.
