Its gonna be Tommy Gavin on Rescue Me

  • Ken

Tommy Gavin is shot by his uncle in a drunken rage (post-wife’s DUI death) while they are all at the bar. That’s what happens.

  • courtney

I’m going with Terra from True Blood. Lafeyette is going to shoot her b/c the demon will take her again.

  • dottie

blood in the water? oh nancy is so shooting esteban… or vice versa. maybe even shane shoots esteban. they’re related so it definitely counts.

  • dottie

jaclyn- agreed. celia’s character has become useless this season. bring back conrad!!!

  • Mindy

With his dementia and everything, I say it’s Betty’s dad shooting Don or Betty on “Mad Men.” If it’s Betty, maybe she’ll lose the baby and be given a second chance to break free of Don and become her own person, or maybe it will make Don finally give up his cheating and realize he loves her. Or if it’s Don, again, he’ll reprioritize, which would also give Peggy a chance to step up in his absence and take over SC for good! :)

  • Mindy

Or, of course, Betty or Don (or Sally!) could shoot grandpa during a particularly nasty crazy-time…

  • Colleen

Didn’t last season of Mad Men end with Pete holding his gun? They’re way past the rule with that – we’re in the third act and that gun still hasn’t fired!

  • Max Murray

Nancy on Weeds, of course by none other than Shane!

  • Abby

Well, looks like we were wrong about Weeds…

  • Mike W

I’m thinking Rescue Me is a pretty safe bet at this point (you know, since there aren’t any other show left that fit the criteria).

  • finally…

First post- July 20-In the next three months, a hit cable series’ lead, a character I think we’d all agree could be described as an anti-hero/ine, is going to be shot. In the chest. Repeatedly. By a relative! Out of nowhere! When the episode, which may or may not be the season finale, ends, our victim’s prognosis, natch, will remain up in the air. So who’s the soon-to-be-barely-moving target? I’ll give you a hint: The show he or she is on is either Nurse Jackie or Burn Notice. Or Rescue Me or Mad Men. Or True Blood or Weeds. Or Entourage or The Closer. (I didn’t say I was gonna give you a big hint.)
2nd related post-July 23-Q: Okay, I’m ready for another clue about the lead character getting shot multiple times. At least eliminate a show from the list. Aus: It’s not Mad Men.
3rd related post-Aug 12-Q: Do you have any other hints about main character is going to get shot -
Aus: Burn Noticeseason just concluded not a single major character got shot in the chest by a relative. So that narrows the list to just seven. And I already ruled out Mad Men, brings it to six. Bonus clue: The victim is male!
4th related post-Aug 26-Q: It’s time for clue about gunshot victim blind item. —
Aus: The shooting will take place within the next seven days
Also posted on Aug 26th-Q: Anything you can share about next Monday’s Weedsseason finale?
Aus: There’s a cliff-hanger, and it comes out of nowhere. (A hint can be found in the title of a song from Legally Blonde: The Musical.)

Weeds season finale was last night and blood on the water was definitely the song and Strange Botwin did kill someone but wouldn’t consider them male, a main character, or shot in the check multiple times so appears Weeds was ruled out!

Has to be Rescue me, season finale airs tonight, we all know anyone of Tommy’s family is totally capable of shooting anyone in Tommy’s family so the possibilities are endless, Tommy is definitely the anti-hero!

  • Gina

I knew it! Granted I thought Shelia would be the shooter. But I knew it would be Tommy!

  • David

Now that I know (spoiler alert) that this wasn’t Weeds, could I please hear from someone what it is? I don’t watch all of these shows.

    Thanks!

  • Keith

Hey David. Read the previous post by Gina. I couldn’t believe it when I was watching. And Teddy making everyone just sit in the bar and watch Tommy bleed out. Man, he flipped his lid.
