Samantha, I agree. If you walk away from 14 millions, you are not happy at all where you work.
Things must have been really bad since Shonda had to fire her best buddy. Go TR for standing up for yourself!
Grey’s Anatomy was an excellent show and Shonda Rhimes ruined it.
Grey’s Anatomy hasn’t been relevant or popular for several years now. I don’t believe that anyone cares who is, or is not, on the show these days. One of my friends was a die hard fan and even she stopped watching 2 years ago.
If TR is relegated into obscurity, it’s because the Hollywood industry are idiots.
The guy has so much talent and charisma, and a host of fans who will follow him wherever he goes.
What Shonda did to George was unforgivable. This is a character we loved, and she treated him like some extra while stuttering Lexie and overperky Arizona were all over the place.
George brought so much heart to the show.
I’m glad TR is telling the truth. It took a lot of courage for him to do that.
He’ll always be a big star to me.
TR once lived in 20 dollars a week eating tuna. He was willing to quit acting and become a teacher. He said he thought he made way too much money for being an actor, and he said he wished the makeup and crew made more and he made less.
Somehow, I don’t think money is a big deal to TR.
I could see him being happy to just do roles he loves and not get paid much.
He’s never been into acting for money. He seems to genuinely love his job.
It’s great when you see so many great actors sell their souls doing crappy movies just to make a lot of money.
George is my favorite character, and I think that’s pretty much all due to TR. He put so much humanity and heart into George. I guess that’s why George is so loved.
I won’t be watching without him.
I don’t blame him at all for leaving and considering what Grey’s is descending into he might just have gotten out at the right time. He’s a great actor though and I hope he gets many other offers for better written characters.
I lost my love for the show when Gizzie broke up. I loved them together. I watched from times to times, but it was mainly out of love for George. The show has gotten bad though. It used to be so good. Now that TR is leaving, I don’t think I’ll be watching anymore.
I hope Katie leaves too. I adore Katie and Izzie, but I think Katie is way too talented for this show. She’s a big star. She deserves better than ghost sex.
TR and Katie are my favorites and I think they’ll both be huge.
I could see Tony wins in TR’s future.
I always thought Shonda was the one who run TR off the show. It was so obvious this season. I’m glad to know I was right.
Shonda’s ruining her show.
Congratulation for your first cover story!
I very much doubt poor Cristina had 114 minutes in all season 5, let alone the first 5 episodes… (and I’m not even going to talk about how they left her out in season 4). The “time” thief this season was Katherine Heilg, but she is his best friend, and your favorite from GA, so of course you two were not going to mention it…
It was time for TR to go. Sorry dude but your character was no longer believeable. Once he came out, it was hard to imagine him as some stud cheating on his wife with beautiful Izzie character. Don’t feel bad about leaving. The show is in decline anyway.
Congrats on your first EW cover story!!
I disliked the George character; he came across as such a schmuck and a doormat. Maybe it was the way it was written; maybe it was the way TRK played him. I don’t see all the fuss over TR; maybe because I disliked the character. I also dislike the Izzie character and wish she had been allowed to expire, as most of the people with that disease do. I didn’t watch the show for the entire time that Denny ghost thing was going on; just too ridiculous, plus the focus was on a character I don’t like (Izzie). I doubt if I’ll watch next season as Katherine Heigl is still there, plus it’s awkward watching Little Gray and that old man doctor she’s dating. Maybe if Little Gray didn’t look like a teen-ager it might not be so bad, but it’s got a big “ick” factor because McSteamy comes across like a child molester.
TR is very talented. I hope someone else snatches him up, someone that can respect his talent.
I’ll miss George. I thought there was a big void this year without him.
I actually think its a loss for him and the show. Who knows if he will catch lighting in a bottle twice.

Sandra and TR are good buddies. I don’t think he was badmouthing her, just pointing out everyone had more airtime than him.
George never came out as a doormat to me.
He was sweet and nice, but he could fight for what he believed in. He stood up to the chief when he didn’t want to help Joe save his bar, and he won. He stood up to get a second chance at the exam, and he got it. He demanded Richard let Mer retake the exam. He redid his internship at Seattle Grace, which takes a lot of courage. He fought twice with Alex and did really well. He helped the nurses when they were on strike. When the anesthesiologist was drunk in season 2, George stood up to him to protect the little girl he was operating on and got sanctioned for it. He risked his career for that little girl.
He’s exactly the kind of doctor and friend you could have.
As for TR being gay, it sure didn’t seem that way in that elevator kiss with Izzie. That was one hot kiss and TR was one great kisser.
Come on, are you really going to believe what he says? Once again, he wants to look like he is a saint and it’s other people’s fault.
It’s the same that happened with Washington, that man made a mistake and T.R. and Heigl didn’t stopped until he was fired. They didn’t stopped until the entire world believed their story instead of what probably really happened.
Everyone knows T.R. was being unbereable on set, wanting to change everything, when that’s the writers and director’s jobs. That’s why he had less time.
And are you listening to yourselves? “I love GA but Shonda is ruining it”. She created it!! What you love, it’s her entire creation!
The ones ruining it are these diva actor and actress who are never happy with what their are given.
No wonder they get on so well with each other.
The one who asked for more was Katherne Heigl, that’s why other characters had less to do this season, because Izzie was having most of the time.
Ironically, it was his friend’s ego fault.
