Breaking: 'Dollhouse' recruits 'Battlestar' vet

Tags: , News

A Fox insider is confirming a rumor that was making the rounds at Comic-Con: Battlestar Galactica stud Jamie Bamber (that’s Apollo to you) will guest star in the season premiere of Dollhouse as someone who is heavily involved in an engagement with Echo and her new handler Ballard (Tahmoh Penikett). This calls for some type of fun, frak-related play on words — preferably one that hasn’t been done to death (i.e. fraktastic, fraktacular, etc.) I’ll let you tackle that challenge in the comments section.

Eh…he’s one of my least favorites on BSG.

    Toldja!
The biggest question I have is why not announce this during Friday’s panel, even if Jamie wasn’t going to be able to attend? It was certainly the right crowd, time, and place for a casting announcement like that…

Oh no, mow I’ll have to actually watch that show, the things I do for Jamie! Maybe he could try and stand between the camera and Eliza at all times and eclipse her from my screen!

    this is fanFRAKINtastic!

Frak-abulous! After I heard Tahmoh Penikett was on Dollhouse I have considered watching… with Jamie Bamber on board to I might have to make good on that!

Frak, frak, frak! I hated Dollhouse (well, the three episodes I forced myself to sit through anyway), and said that I would never watch again. Now I have to decide when my Jamie Bamber wishlist on TiVo records it if I’m going to actually force myself to watch it. Sigh. Maybe I’ll just fast forward through the majority of the episode and only watch the scenes he’s in? Thank goodness it only sounds like a one episode engagement.

    FRAKilicious!

Hmm, I will try to frakkle this one, in a frakilect manner it needs. I think its Jamie Bamber that makes his fans fragasmic, and not just his role on Apollo (remember him from the Horatio Hornblower series, and how he won over fans of those novels, eventhough Kennedy wasn’t in the books, and people cried when his character bit the farm). I just hope he has his British accent for the show, his plotline can allow for a return visit, and not only continues the BSG reunion, but maybe an HH one too……

For those who stopped watching after 3 episodes…watch it all, it makes sense. Watch it again and you’ll forget why you hated the first 4 episodes.
And Jamie’s in?? omg… very good news!

Wow. I wish it was for more than one episode.

  • rs

Oh, awesome!!! I just rewatched an old Horatio Hornblower a few weeks ago and was thinking, I wish Jamie Bamber would get more work.
