Urgent bulletin: Big news about Ask Ausiello!

Sorry to spring this on you at the last minute, but there will be no Ask Ausiello this week. I know, I know. But see, in addition to the ton of scoop I walked away with at Comic-Con, I also picked up a lethal new form of influenza called the nerd flu. It’s like the regular flu except your phlegm comes out in the form of iconic comic book images. Sounds like fun, but I assure you it’s not. So until I’m well enough to resume our regular Q&A sessions, I’ll tide you over with updates on my blog. (In fact, couple of big scoops should be coming your way in next 24 hours). Oh, and um, while you’re feeling sorry for me and all, this is probably as good a time as any for me to tell you that there will be no AA next Thursday, either. But I have a really good excuse for that one: I’ll be running around covering the Television Critics Assoc. press tour in Pasadena, Calif. (I’m actually here now, but I’m hiding in my hotel room ’til my nose stops looking so crusty.) To recap: This blog will still be teeming with news, just not Ask Ausiello columns. AA will return on August 13. In the meantime, please post your well wishes and messages of sympathy and understanding below. And if you feel the urge to call me a slacker, just please make it clever. I could use a good laugh.

    What on earth am I going to do without my weekly Ausiello fix? *takes a deep breath* It’s ok, I can make it two weeks *twitch* it’s not like I’m addicted or anything *twitch twitch* Really, I’ll be fine *faints (yet somehow manages to press ‘post comment) before hitting the floor)*

    Aw! I am so sorry that your sick! You’ll get better in no time for sure. Can’t wait for you scoops.
    Feel better, drink fluids (soda does not count. My sister reminded me of that when I had pneumonia over Christmas /:)

    You are not just a slacker–you are a Xander. And not the cool-works-hard Xander from season 4 onwards, but the awkward, thinks-his-jokes-are-funny-and-charming-when-they’re-not, often-disappointing-due-to-lack-of-results Xander from Season 1 2 and 3.
