Boy, average viewers really don’t understand how the industry works. A pilot is shot in March, not picked up in May, and the actors all move on to other jobs. There is ZERO chance that this Body Politic will ever, ever be resurrected. You are wasting your time and space and energy trying to “will” it into life. It’s NOT happening now or ever. Can you “get” that? Sheesh.

Don’t ya just love it how every time Ms. Ostroff opens her mouth, her bashers are just lying in wait to criticize her and the network? Doesn’t matter what the CW does, these imbiciles just won’t be happy. What tragic lives they lead.

My only issue is the ANTM repeat on Fridays, but I just assume Tyra has part ownership in the network and the encore is a contractual thing. In essence, the CW programs 9 hours a week, until they demonstrate otherwise. If Friday at 9pm is such a great place for Top Model, then make it your first-run! And put something original on Wed. at 8pm. Hmmm?

I agree, the ANTM repeat on a Friday does not make sense, its not compatible with Smallville and that 9pm slot is a wasted opportunity for the Smallville lead in they should have scheduled a new show there. I actually felt sa when they gave up on Sundays already.

True. So let’s hope they at least look for something like Body Politics next pilot season. CW does need more variety!

  • supermanfan

i guess i’ll just be tivo-ing smallville to watch it later…

  • Emily

Seems the Gossip Girl is the vacuum cleaner of the CW. First Kristen Bell, now Johanna Garcia–if they keep cancelling shows, Gossip Girl’s cast is going to be HUGE!

  • proteanlives

The 90210 remake is unwatchable (and admittedly I watch a lot of bad television) and I don’t expect the Melrose Place update to be any better. I guess I don’t understand what Ostroff is thinking. Whoever said that the CW needs a “flagship” series is right. I just don’t see it happening with the shows they are promoting for next season.

For the PP calling out “Ostroff bashers,” the word is spelled “imbeciles.” (It helps to spell the word right when you’re calling people stupid).

i am not defending the network big wigs or anything and i am all for more well-written, scripted television out there but there is a big difference between replaying a popular show that advertisers will go for and producing a whole new one. my guess? the cw could only afford production on a limited number of new shows this year. i doubt it was a question of finding a time slot for things and more a question of finding the budget to actually make the shows. you repeat antm you don’t have to pay for sets, actors, teamsters, writers etc. for body politic or lily or whatever. it’s the bottom line, plain and simple.

Dawn Ostroff : Not pick up Body Politic : bad decision . That’s all

  • shoot hamaguchi

I really don’t like that they wat to go past a fifth season of Supernatural. Let them finish the five year plan and end it. I love the show and don’t want it to become like Smallville and OTH that just keep going and lose all credibility.

    • Michelle

      YES.

I love Supernatural so much, it’s bascailly the only show currently still in production that I even watch. And while part of me would love for it to live forever, I do NOT want it to go on and on and get crappy. End it while it’s still good. End it where they want it to end.

  • Kathy

The two best shows on the CW are treated the worst. Supernatural & Smallville deserve a better network than CW. Dawn is horrible.

  • annoyed_loser

“Ostroff also hopes Supernatural will remain on the air “for a while.”
really? SN is like a king compairing to a-piece-of-crap-smallville. oh and the last smallville season was the worst, consisted of shitty story lines and that stupid street set that’s repeating in every epp. is fucking-annoying, they should have canceled it.

  • Caio

seriously, how did Dawn get ( and kept ) this job?

Body Politic sounded like the best pilot of the season ( unfortunately, I haven’t watched it =/ ) and the GG Spin-off sounded like a VERY promissing teen show, with the 80′s/90′s feel.

She just keeps on sinking this station, each time lower, and no one takes her out of her position

  • Nicole

CW wants the 35 year old men demo? Lame, but that explains the uneducated, unethical botox bimbo Nois factor. I’m 18-34, worked my @ss off in school & totally find Superman with someone who slept their way into the DP appealing.

    FAIL!!

  • Kari

I only watch 2 shows on the CW Smallville and Supernatural I am not like most girls I like shows with a little bit of action does that make me weird any way when they are over it goodbye for the CW for me.
