Lauren Hutton. Do I get a referral if my pick is chosen? Put her on a motorcycle even. She’s not boring like many others named. Lauren Hutton would make young and grown man watch the show. The show already has huge female audience.

  • lola

LAUREN HUTTON. Hope I’m spelling her name right. Lauren, send me a bone if you get chosen.

  • lola

Goldie Hawn, Lauren Hutton or Gweneth Paltrow’s mom. One of these three. None are boring and all are beautifull, elegant and nice ladies.

  • Hayden Mousney

Didi Conn (‘Grease’, ‘Shining Time Station’), just because I think she’s nice and probably needs the job. I’ve never even SEEN ‘The Office’. BOTH incarnations are over-rated. :-) Didi Conn. There. Stamped it. No erasies.

The key to whomever they cast is, she needs to be NORMAL, not wacky. Pam is one of the sanest characters on the show-I like to see her mom depicted the same way-as a nice, sweet woman-an older version of her.

As part of the extras on one of the DVDs the producers and writers to part in a panel discussion. Someone on the panel asked the audience how they felt about the idea. A loud “no” went through the crowd. The producers/writers said they would remember that in the future. Hopefully they do and stay away from doing anything that would take away from the genius that is this show.

it should be someone similar in build to Pam, and she should be a total milf. The picture of Pam having grown up in the shadow of a glamorous i.e. hot mother would give her character an interesting dimension. Megan Mullally would be neat choice. So would Linda Hamilton. Blythe Danner would be great in the role, but I’m not sure she’s the physical type you’d be looking for…

Bo Derek would be a hot mama and think she fits the age. Tv is so boring I haven’t even connected my converter box. Shows like Allie McBeal were smart, yet fun. Who needs smart without the fun. People like corkiness because it isn’t the norm. Cheers was an exmaple of smart but corkey, and so was Seinfelt, and even evrybody loves Raymond. If I wanted just genious I would go to the library instead.

What I think is funny is that the dodo head that wrote the article, who has a vast database available, couldn’t even take a second to determine someone had already played the role. Whether you agree with the re-cast or not, it would’ve been worth mentioning. Maybe EW should hire some of its readers rather than keep this lazy writer?

    • Mike Ausiello

You are the dodo. Go back to your miserable existence you worthless piece of infectious waste.

  • Nicole

    Mary Tyler Moore!!!!

  • Ramona

Well, any way it goes, I think they should write in Jim’s Grandma, and she should be played by Doris Day.

  • kevin

I think Bonnie Hunt is a great idea. Debra Jo Rupp is good also. But Bonnie Hunt is much funnier

Brad, since you are all about helping people, how about investing with me on selling phones with the numbers 911 highlighted so kids know what to dial in case on an emergency. Kids are visual and kinesthetic learners before the read/write can occur, and this would help save lives. Not only it would assist kids, but also the elderly, people with demencia, and for the blind we could have the numbers with rought edges. Every minute counts since the police are the first to be called, than they determine the emergency which goes to peremedics and as i said, every minute counts. We can use more than halp of the sales to give to charity or use the money to rebuild New Orleans. How hard can this be. It’s my idea, your the face, and the money will be well spent, not to mention the lives it saves. Just today, a little boy saved his pregnant mother who had a seizure and according to most parents they don’t feel all that secure that their child would remember while in an emergency.

Hope EW is interested and they could be the face since they could advertize out product and decide if they want to keep their share. I just know I would like to share mine, since material things aren’t all that important to me. I mentioned Brad because the money could do wonders for New Orleans.I could help him with being a mayor since I have Politial Science background and have done lots of work for politicians. The gay marriage is the only stance I would not feel comfortable advovating, but a compromise would be great. It’s just a very sensitive issue to call it marriage, maybe it can be called something beautiful too, just needs to have it’s own stance since it is different. Anyway, the phone idea is great. Who wouldn’t buy this phone as their next one, and it can be sold anywhere and evrywhere in the world. Think about Brad and Anjie, and EW since you are the ones giving me the platform. Thanks
