'Office' spoiler alert: Scoop on Jim-Pam wedding, new love for Michael, and more!

Tags: , News

Office producer-writer-star Mindy Kaling delivered the spoilery goods at NBC’s press tour bash last night. Some quick highlights before I direct you to our on-camera exchange below: Jim and Pam will tie the knot in this season’s fourth episode, Michael will likely be getting a new love interest, there are no immediate plans for Jan to resurface, and two characters who have had very little interaction in the past will be coming together in a major way. My entire Q&A with Kaling is after the jump! Oh, and stick around after the Kaling video for my interviews with fellow Office mates Ellie Kemper, Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner, Creed Bratton, Phyllis Smith, and Kate Flannery.

To see all my interviews from Wednesday's NBC shindig, including my revealing chats with Friday Night Lights' Aimee Teegarden, Mercy's Michelle Trachtenberg, Heroes' Greg Grunberg and Adrian Pasdar, and Southland's Ben Mackenzie, head over to the Ausiello TV hub!

  • PLEASE SOMEBODY!

Somebody comment on the content of the video, if theres anynthing that Ausiello didnt cover…

  • Lynn

Jenna Fischer mentioned on her blog that Pam is just out of her first trimester, yet Mindy says she’s four and a half months along. I don’t get the pregnancy timeline.

    I can’t wait for a Jim/Pam baby though.

    • allie

a trimester is three months so “just out of the first trimester” corresponds with 4 and a half months perfectly.

  • Lacy

    Creed Bratton is perfection.

Can’t wait for new season to start. go office go

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let the new connection between 2 characters who have not interacted a lot before be a genius and hellacious romantic pairing of Kelly and Andy. Andy has always wanted to be the “it” couple of the office and clearly loves a woman who pushes him around. Kelly is one of the best stalkers/obsessives in a relationship I have ever seen. It would be a totally dysfunctional relationship that could work (besides the Angela reaction which would be awesome). 2 of the funniest actors on the show.

    • Samantha

YES! i totally agree, this would be perfect!

  • Todd

Sorry to be such a hater, but this new season info fills me with trepidation. Last season, the office got good again after two weak seasons in a row. People said it had jumped the shark, but it had not. Hopefully that doesn’t happen this year, but the Jim-Pam-Baby just sounds so mushy.

  • Chris

I think the friction of Jim and Pam NOT being together is what made The Office good, and it’s sucked for two years now. I don’t know why they would end the main storyline of the series when the series end is nowhere in sight. I’ll still watch for Andy though. He’s just freakin’ hilarious.

  • Trazey

more CREED! he kills me! i hope the 2 thrown together will be Kelly Kapoor and Andy, ha they were hilarious the last few episodes

  • topoopon

More Holly! I love Amy Ryan!!!

  • Scott

Does anybody else think Andy might be gay? I got a vibe from him when they went to canada. He seemed quite smitten with Oscar.

    • Lynn

      Andy/Oscar would be amazing!

  • Paula

I don’t think the Jam thing was the only reason to watch. I loooove Jim and Pam but I loooove the rest too! Dwight and Angela and Andy, they are all too wonderful for words. And Scott, I don’t think Andy’s gay, just really in need of approval, ALL THE TIME!

I really love how their having Pam/Jim get married 4 episodes into the 6th season…Most shows drag wedding’s out, do it in the finale, and have the bride 8-9 months on the verge of giving birth

That’s what i freakin love about The Office. What’s suppose to be grand is just a regular episode NOT made for sweeps months!

  • Scott

I think there is hope for oscar/andy. Oscy. lol. Did anybody else think Brian Baumgartner’s real voice seemed kinda strange?

  • Victoria

Ausiello keeps his cool so well, the minute Mindy said “Jim and Pam’s wedding” I like screamed :)

  • michael kinger

are they getting married in Niagara falls?
