Leonard/Sheldon works so much better…I’m just sayin’ ;-)

The 2nd season was as good if not better than the first and didn’t explore L/P, much …Leonard is the straight man and Penny the foil- usually to Sheldon as the comic. Having L/P in scenes together with Sheldon may tend to get boring. Now, L/P together with the group may be better- with 2 foils and 3 comics…I think if you want to explore S/P do it in a nonsexual dream sequence…This show seems to be at its best when S/P interact, L/P interact and the friendship between the geeks is explored… i.e Klingon boggle, lizard spock, discussions of superheros… Wolowitz is funny on his own…Raj is funny in the group… Sheldon is funny with anyone…The boys “geekness” rubbing off on Penny is funny. I love this show because it shows us of our inner geek…thats what makes it funny…I think the PTB should stick with the formula that got them thru the 1st two seasons.

    * L/P interact should have been L/S interact well

    Penny/Leonard = bad idea
    Penny/Sheldon = good idea!

Hasn’t the “first time together is a bust” thing been over used? I mean.. Cordelia & Wesley (Buffy), and on and on.. they keep trotting out this worn out strategy.. :(

I think leonard and penny will get pretty well involved with one another, then things will sour and they will be breaking it off mid season, with the hint of a return to romance just in time for the season cliffhanger. That way season 4 can start with them trying to find that spark again, only to be rekindled and finally sealed at the end of season 4.

They (should) stay together! I love, love, love so much this couple! They deserve it and I’ll say more they should marry and have lots of beautiful and inteligent children.

I love how everyone is freaking out about this. Has no one ever watched TV before? Just because they try out a relationship doesn’t mean it’s going to last. My assumption is that they’ll date for about a third of the season, realize it’s not working, separate and the next few seasons will be about each of them maturing into a better-suited partner for the other. Maybe in that time we’ll actually hear why Leonard loves her, and vice versa.

I can see both sides – I love the idea of Leonard/Penny, but they haven’t written them to the point where it feels substantial yet. Both are selfish and never show that they care for each other unless there’s a huge plot point about it. There should be some amendments in how they’re handled and then I think people will be more on board.

And please writers, don’t make this a Leonard/Penny/Sheldon live triangle. The second Sheldon becomes involved in something frivolous like that is the second you’ve tainted his character for good. If there’s a natural progression to the point where Penny and Sheldon find love, then sure. But don’t let him be reduced to that character who puts the moves on his best friend’s girl.

My favorite show just jumped the shark. No place for boring romance in a comedy show.

leonard and penny are getting more and more boring as the time passes. Sheldon and Penny for the win! best scenes
