Ratings: 'Millionaire' and 'Shark Tank' sink

The limited-run return of onetime megahit Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and the premiere of battle-of-the-entrepreneurs reality show Shark Tank weren’t enough to buoy ABC over CBS’ summer staple Big Brother and NBC’s pre-season NFL matchup between the Tennessee Titans and Buffalo Bills. The Alphabet’s summer scripted series Defying Gravity remained leaden as well, though the net still managed to post its best non-sports-related summer Sunday — even ho-hum new programming trumps tired repeats.
