tony&ziva, sealing the deal? it’s about time. i’m actually kinda looking forward to it. i mean, ziva’s the only woman who intimidates tony, and idk. i just think they’ll click. and i kinda wanna see what gibbs’ will do, with them breaking his rule and all. it’s exciting, and i don’t think at all brennan ruined it. i trust the writers, they have only let me down once before, with jenny being killed.

    • tejas

Why in the world would a pairing where one half is intimidated by the other half be a good thing? What if it was Ziva intimidated by Tony? Or, if that’s too difficult to imagine, what if John intimidated Mary? Would you still want them to get together?

  • Cree

All of you hysterics who “claim” they will quit on NCIS if Tony & Ziva make the two-backed beast are forgetting the most important thing—you will also lose Ducky and the cutest, most original character on tv–Abby.

  • NavyResGirl

No chance that I’ll be going anywhere. Can’t wait for the new season especially after what Pauley had to say (no spoiler) about the Season Premiere.

  • Not A Tiva Fan

Yikes…IMHO, I didn’t see love between Tony and Ziva…I saw mistrust on Tony’s part, and someone that used to be competent and strong completely self destruct (Ziva). For me personally, I love the whole team…if Tony and Ziva DO hook up, I’ll still watch…I’m excited for the new season…I just think that a Tony/Ziva pairing will throw a huge monkey wrench into a great show.

    • tejas

Agreed. Tony has zero interest in Ziva and Ziva has been going off the rails for a while now. Though, it doesn’t matter if a few people keep watching, if they put them together the show will be canceled within two seasons, *if* it takes that long.

  • VJW

Tony can do better than the ice-cold Ziva David. I haven’t liked her character since day one of season 3 and the idea of “Tiva” is almost revolting.

    • Raven

i don’t know why so mny people are being negative about the whole tony/ziva relationship. i think that it could open new doors for the show……and it won’t get the show cancelled

      • tejas

We’re negative about it because we’ve seen this kind of thing kill show after show after show. That’s not even touching on the fact that they’re a *horrible* couple. Tony’s not interested in her and she’s alternately a 12 year old with her first crush and completely psycho.

  • NavyResGirl

    Yep, “hook-ups” kill shows.
“Remington Steele” and “Moonlighting” to name just two.

Ziva alternates between mooning over Tony and treating him like crap (you don’t pull a gun on someone you care for) so how in the world can they possible be “in love” with the other?

    • Raven

it didn’t say they were going to “hookup” they said tony and ziva’s relationship “will evolve rapidly” that does not mean hookup… brennan said they will get together but doesn’t know when: “I’m guessing it will involve them eventually sealing the deal, right? “Yes, but I don’t know when,” Brennan hedges.” ha so no hookup

  • Sarah

Srsly ppl. Being in a relationship only ever kills television shows. It even killed Jon and Kate.

I’m really kind of surprised at all the comments on here. I don’t understand why people hate Ziva so much and are considering her unstable or that they ruined her character, she just finally snapped. She’s always seemed a but unhinged and ready to snap in my opinion. I mean everyone is aware her father trained her to be a killer. If that doesn’t scream unhinged than I don’t know what does. And she’s grown since being with the team, opened up, allowed her emotions to be more present. Unfortunately at the end of the sixth season she was stuck in a situation that did bring out those issues she has with her father. They were always there. They pointed that out at the very beginning. She doesn’t trust him and she trusts him at the same, it’s an ongoing conflict that finally hit a peak. And people do stupid things to those they love when they are on the edge of a mental breakdown.

And from the beginning they have been planning on a Tony/Ziva pairing, so I don’t know why this should come as a shock to anyone that they may be pushing through with it a little bit. And I highly doubt they are going to offer any real hook up, it does not even sound like they are planning on hooking them up. Evolving can mean a lot of things, perhaps her just breaking down in front of him, after all she’s been through Hell. Whatever happens, will happen. I don’t think anyone is going to get the wish of them not pushing the Tony and Ziva relationship since they have said from the beginning it’s their plan. If it brings the show down, it brings the show down. There will be others, nothing lasts forever.

I’ve stopped watching shows because I didn’t like the way they were taken if people don’t want Tiva and stop watching because of it, it’s their choice. Hey, I’m sure NCIS L.A. will be free from romance. At least for a little while.

  • Valma

IMO we have to wait to see what comes along in Season 7 before jumping to conclusions.

I will trust the writers to come up with a twist to the rapidly evolving “relationship” to make it interesting to most people (you can’t please everyone).

To those who want to eagerly write off the season with “disaster” – what makes you think that the spoiler comments mean that Ziva and Tony will be mooning over each other in cliched soap opera fashion? No one from the PTB has ever said that. The vague statements that have been doled out so far leave almost everything open to a very wide interpretation.

What I want to see is for things to move forward with the series. I want characters to continue to grow. I want interesting devlopments and stories to go along with the unique characters that the writers have worked so hard to create.

I absolutely don’t go into this season with a set of hard demands of what I want to see or not see – that sort of thing makes me cringe. Writing, as I personally know, it is a difficult job (yes, there are professionals who actually make their living doing this and they are usually skilled at what they do, believe it or not) and amateurs, even if they think they could do better, are not really any good at it or they would be the ones getting paid to do this kind of work.

If I don’t like what I see happening on the screen as a member of the audience, then I will do something else with my time – it is after all just a television show… a great show, but a TV show never the less.

But what is so wrong with letting the first few episodes roll by before declaring that the show is circling the drain if Tony and Ziva’s relationship “evolves”?

    • Nic

If they’re smart, which they have been so far, they will let the sparks continue between Tony and Ziva, but NEVER act on it……

  • Beth

I have been reading a lot of these comments and many of them are negative. Why would you waste your time watching NCIS if you didn’t like the characters? I for one LOVE this show and love the characters…all of them! I have enjoyed watching how the characters interact with each other. I love the Tony/Ziva part of the show too. I can’t wait for 9/22!!

  • Annoying Mentally Unhinged Anti

Cool, someone questioning why people watch the show just because there is something they don’t like about it, real cool.
What’s next, telling us we’re not real fans?

  • kimikawa22

you ALL need to grow up. it’s a frickn tv show!!! not the end of the world. if this is what you do in your free time, then you have some issues with your social life.

  • Jo

    Kimi,
Welcome to the club since YOU’RE here too.

  • Dane

Hook up = Jump The Shark.

  • Nic

The Tony and Ziva thing is perfect! A look and want, but not touch, is the very best way to go.

  • Pamela Shira

Gibbs and Ziva, much more interesting than Tony and Ziva.
