For those that don’t think of Ziva and Tony as lovers then they missed all the tension they always had. The teasing, the sexual tension, the trying to one up each other with Gibbs, the looks when they thought no one was looking. I mean come on peeps, if they hook up I really think that the writers will do it the right way. I’ve never been disappointed in the storylines so far for NCIS. I say bring it on. Missing the heck outta NCIS.

You see a relationship between them, some don’t but see a relationship between other characters. That’s the beauty of the show as it was – all fans can see what they want wihtout having a specific couple forced down their throats. That’s how it needs to stay

    • Breezy

Gibbs and DiNozzo have tension, I don’t think of them as lovers. Even Michael Weatherly mentioned that he believes Gibbs and DiNozzo have sexual tension.

Subtext for all, text for none.

I have loved the show from the 1st episode, I’m glad it will be back soon, and I look forward to the new season, the only thing that gives me pause is, NCIS – LA that has bad idea written all over it.

    • Agreed

Bad idea and bad acting abound. ugh Why isn’t the original ever good enough?

  • Amy

Here’s to season 7! I can’t wait. I want our team all together again. I miss the banter.

  • Gibbsfan

NCIS used to be a show about Gibbs and his team. Now it is about Tony and Ziva with a side issue for the rest. Send Ziva home and let’s get back to the team.

      Truest words ever spoken :)

NCIS isn’t like other shows. A lot of people seemed to be concerned that a relationship between Tony and Ziva will overtake the show. The show’s always been a balance of drama/comedy/character development and casefile. They have a formula (or non-formula) that works. They aren’t going to all the sudden change NCIS into a soap opera. They’re still going to do what they’re best at, with the addition of adding that angle into it. It won’t overtake the show, it’ll just make it better. NCIS isn’t strictly one dimensional. They know what they’re doing.

    • oh y

They know what they’re doing now, but developing Tony & Ziva into a romantic couple will change every facet of the show & the characters. All for character development here but it needs to be done properly & according to the way the characters were originated. That’s not going to happen if they persist with putting these 2 together.

I dunno… Abby and McGee hooked up and broke up without screwing up the cast chemistry. If the PTB really want to go the Tiva route, I’m sure they can find a way to make it watchable. Personally, I’m content to wait and see what happens.

  • Unhinged Anti

If this turns out to be something I hope it won’t be then NCIS will be in the same shape next year that Without a Trace is this year.

More seriously though, i’ve seen Tiva fans say that they don’t want it to take over the show. That’s fine but i’ve also seen some that want a full relationship.

Ok, cool, I just have one question. Who will suffer the most the first time Tony or Ziva makes a dumb move in the field since logic and common sense says they would be distracted by each other.

    Gibbs or McGee?

    • Breezy

Tony. Already happened in Cloak when Gibbs was screaming at her to stand down.

      • Unhinged Anti

Yep and they aren’t even a couple. What happens in a similar situation if they are except Gibbs and McGee are also with them. They would be watching each others back more than who they are supposed to be backing up. So who suffers more, Gibbs or McGee.

  • Bill

So is the NCIS scoop for both shows or just the original? Hopefully more for the original

  • Jo

Why does one assume there will be a mistake made? Yes, I can see what you are saying, but it’s not even out of the gate yet. I think it’s too soon to doom it to fail when we don’t even really know what “it” is yet.

  • Amal

Why do producers insist on ruining perfectly good action/dramas by trying to make them into romances? I used to enjoy NCIS. I still do, except when they attempt, and fail, as last season attests, to market the show as about a couple. If after the horrible mess of the last four episodes, not to mention how the characters have been twisted about all season 6, I was moderately interested in coming back for season 7. If Mr. Brennan insists on continuing with the mess, which it certainly seems like he does, or at least wants to hype that he does, I’m even less interested. Please, if anyone cares what a devoted fan thinks. Could I have back the show I’ve loved for 6 years? The one about an NCIS team that solves Navy/Marine related crimes? And is good at it? Please? Thanks.

    • Lainee(:

      Totally agreed!

  • Patti

I am very undecided as to whether the whole Tony/Ziva relationship would work. I keep wondering what reaction Gibbs would have with two of his agents being involved. He seems to have great misgivings (not to mention a rule!) about relationships between co-workers. Besides, where could the story really lead, they would be too concerned about each other getting hurt to concentrate on their jobs. I think it would make more sense to have Gibbs involved with someone, not necessarily someone he works with. I am willing to volunteer if they start looking for someone!

  • Unhinged Anti

That’s not what the show is about Amal.

It’s about what the Tiva fans feel they are entitled to. And believe me that is something i’ve seen pop up more and more.

    • Therese

Entitled to? I am a strong Tiva fan but the only thing I feel entitled to is to still have the same awesome show I’ve had for the past six years.

  • Mac

    OMG! I can’t wait!
But I’m afraid once again I’ll have my hopes up for nothing…

  • Cin

For those of you saying that a relationship between Tony and Ziva won’t take over the show, can you point me to *any* PR or marketing since late Season 6 that hasn’t focused on the two of them? I’m expecting this to be my last couple of episodes of NCIS. I quit watching in late season 4 because of the whole convoluted Jeanne/Tony/Jenny’s revenge mess. A friend convinced me to try again in early season 6. She’s since apologized. I suspect there will be one or two good episodes in Season 7, but that’s not enough to keep me around. Especially when SB’s idea of ‘Great TV’ is simply playing things for twists and shock value.
It’s just sad to see a great show go downhill this way.

  • OCEANLIFE

WAIT…I thought Ziva was leaving the show to pursue a career in theatre?? Whats up with that? I guess they decided the show will not be the same without Ziva, so glad to hear she will be there!

  • tejas

Here’s hoping “sealing the deal” means Tony finally telling Ziva to get over herself and stop mooning over him, stalking him and generally making a fool of herself over him. NO ROMANCE!!!!
