Penelope Ann Miller, late of Fox’s Vanished and a bunch of other stuff, is joining TNT’s forthcoming midlife crisis drama Men of a Certain Age as the ex-wife of Ray Romano’s neurotic party-supply store owner, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Miller is committed to appearing in at least five episodes of Men, which bows in December and stars Andre Braugher, Scott Bakula, and Romano as a group of friends getting old approaching midlife together.

I always think of Elisabeth Shue when I think of the 80s most famous babysitter. But that’s just me.
I think of ES too Jen.
Wasn’t Elisabeth Shue the babysitter? This was her friend, the one who got stuck in downtown Chicago, right?
Elisabeth Shue was the babysitter. Penelope Ann Miller was her friend.
Excuse me? Did I miss something? How is Penelope Ann Miller the 80s most famous babysitter?
Did you confuse her with Elisabeth Shue again?
It’s not just you Jen. PAM played the friend of Elisabeth Shue, who was indeed the most famous babysitter of the 80s.
not to be a nitpick, but she was the babysitter’s crazy friend in the bus station.
Michael Ausiello just lost a lot of points with me…
It’s Shue. Duh.
Jen’s right….Penelope is the most infamous school teacher..
LOL!
I guess “babysitter” got replaced with a lot of other stuff.
At least on TVGuide, authors would admit mistakes like this.
Hey, WHERE IS????? Elisabeth Shue?
“And a bunch of other stuff”?? Wow, razor sharp reporting!
Is the network saying they’re approaching midlife? Romano is 51, Bakula is almost 55, and Braugher just turned 47. None of them has been “approaching” midlife for at least 7 years.
Are you sure this is going to be a drama, Michael? With that cast and the title, I would have assumed it was a comedy.
