America’s Got Talent continued to dominate Tuesday’s ratings, though it lost roughly a million viewers from last week. Perhaps those folks tuned into CBS’ Big Brother, which gained more than a million viewers in comparison. ABC’s latest reality offering, Shaq VS, premiered, with Shaquille O’Neal challenging Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers to a quarterback challenge. Though the show finished in third place at 9 p.m., it did deliver ABC its strongest summer numbers in that time slot (with regular programming) in over a year in both total viewers and Adults 18-49.

i dont get how people choose america’s got talent over big brother!
The word “talent ” comes to mind. TT
I love BigBrother.I have watched all the seasons. I wish they would have two a year instead of one.
Big Brother is awesome! Glad to see the ratings are up there.
I agree. Big Brother is great summer fun and they promoted the Chima incident nicely. Plus, why not watch when they put AGT acts in the one hour recap show? Much more efficient.
America’s Got Talent is LAME. LAME LAME LAME.
I think AGT got viewers for two reasons: 1. a lot of people weren’t at all happy with Vegas shows – both elimination and the fact that we didn’t get performances only judges and “drama” 2. None of the early favorites who were eliminated in Vegas – e.g. Kari, Ciana, Kallen – were invited back 3. The first 2 quarterfinal performances didn’t feature much talent. The third one did but by then a number of viewers was lost.
