You really should. It’s an awesome show!!
Some people don’t like it because of all the sex, but once you get past that it’s really amazing.

  • Chif

    • Stef

Haha, me too. I yell ‘sookeh!’ whenever Bill comes on screen and now I know how to spell it!

      • Stacy

lol I do the same THING!! Actually I’ve gotten really good at impersonating Bill. SHE IS MINE!!!

      • megan

  • maggie

    its sookeh and beeyal…. lol

but it is sookeh and eric that are making the ratings!!! lol!!! love them!

    • Amy

Sookie and Eric are totally bringing in the viewers! “beeyal” LOL!

    • Sina

beeyal! LOL!! Love it. But I love the actor playing Bill’s accent.

    • Emmannuelle

      lol yeah

Eric being a prominent character this season is making the ratings

Ohh you all know it’s true!

  • Kiwi

So thrilled to see these kinds of numbers!!!!! It means it will stick around for awhile since it has become more than just a cult hit. YES!!!!

  • Josie

I’m so glad that this show is continuing to grow. I am a little scared that the actors involved will eventually get sick of playing the same character and move on. I hope they all stay on and keep us fans happy!

    • Trubee

I agree! This show is making LOADS of money on merchandise & DVD sales. I won’t be surprise that soon these actors will be demanding a ridiculous amount of money if HBO (or Alan Ball) wants them to stay on.

      • Josie

Actually, I’m not too worried about them asking for more money, but I am worried that since some of the actors have mostly a movie background they might get tired of returning to the same character so often.

    • smartypants

They all signed 7 year contracts when they came on for the pilot, so the cast isn’t going anywhere. (Whether that means up to 7 seasons, or 7 total years of work I don’t know.)

  • Austin

I just caught up with True Blood, and it is my new favorite show. However, I don’t quite get the Eric craze…I’m definitely Team Bill.

    • carissaberry

Most of the team Eric folks (myself included) like that pairing because of the books.

    • Get a Q

You dont get it because you are a guy. I am with ya.

    • chris

Austin what it is, its that women love the bad boy decietful use and abuse man AKA eric and hate the loving caring bill. what we learn is; treat women like dog crap and they love you treat them nice and they’ll turn on you.

      • Javs

Bill is nice? *snorffle* I’d take Eric’s bad a$$ self anytime over Bill’s “niceness” if that’s what you call it.
@Austin: Read the books, all the way through book 9 and even if Eric doesn’t become your favorite vamp/suitor/whatever, you’ll understand why people like him.

  • Aurora

True Blood is huge, so huge that it deserves its own EW recap…get what I’m saying EW?

    • Javs

      *wink wink* -nudge nudge-

  • Serena

This season is absolutely fantastic, I’ve enjoyed every second of it.
I can’t help believing that Eric’s presence is superb and that’s why the ratings are this high.
I love this show, please let it continue for like 7-8 seasons!

  • tnsmoke

Alexander Skarsgard has receive crital acclaim for his role on 2 HBO shows now, Generation Kill and True Blood. I’m sure HBO will want to keep him on their network in future projects. I doubt if any of the True Blood actors have any desire to leave the show when it’s hot, money isn’t what motivates good actors, it’s a good juicy role. They all have plenty of time inbetween seasons to do outside projects.

  • crispy

Glad to see the numbers are soaring, but the rating system is as archaic as Bill. There are about 25,000 seeds for this episode on Pirate Bay right now… so imagine the actual number of people watching this show.

    • Wes

Yea but advertisers and networks like HBO only want the numbers for shows that people are paying for or are watching their commercials, so the ratings system is just fine.

    • Javs

That’s true for just about any popular show. At least the ratings numbers are going up!

  • Michelle

That is AWESOME. I had a feeling TB would hit the 5 mil mark before the finale! I wonder if a certain naked Viking has anything to do with this? ;)

  • Lori

There is no doubt in my mind that the increased screentime of Askars has contributed to this increase. The chemistry between him and Anna is dynamite!

  • Cam

All of the actors and characters are charismatic and hot – the chemistry between any pairing is incredible!
