Love Stana and the chemistry of this pair!! And shaking up Castle always leads to fun.

Anything with Castle makes me happy, sounds interesting. I can’t wait to see Nathan Fillion on my weekly schedule again.

  • Leigh

This is great show! There is great chemistry between all the characters, including Castle and Beckett. It will be interesting to see what a new face brings to the show.

  • Matt2

Just what Castle needed- instant fireworks! Mazar- a great addition to an already well cast well written crime drama.

what happened to his agent from the pilot, you know the ex wife (not his daughter’s mother, his other ex wife). She was great and they played off each other very well. Granted, Mazur is a bigger name with more recognition, but why try to fix what isn’t broken?

  • StanaFan

To everyone above me, you are all wrong. Stana Katic is an amazing actress. Have you ever stop to think that the material she was given wasn’t the best? She’s acting on a brand new show. Of course she’s not going to be as steller as someone who’s been playing the same character for years. You should watch some of the other projects she’s been apart of. The girl can act chemistry with a wet paper bag. Mazur will probably be a good addition to the cast but seriously do you need to bash someone’s career in the process? You could have simply said “Glad Mazur’s going to be on TV. I’ll tune in to watch” >.<

Couldn’t agree more. Stana is fantastic and the chemistry between her and Nathan Fillion is wonderful. Castle and Beckett are my absolutely favourite pair since Crichton and Aeryn on Farscape.

The chemistry between Castle and Beckett is the best I’ve seen on TV in a long time. I got hooked onto the show b/c of Stana Katic. She is an amazing and talented actress. She has the ability to convey all her emotions without a single word, and this is evident in every episode. Nathan and Stana both have perfect comedic timing in their scenes together. For those of you that are bashing Stana, Castle fans would appreciate it if you took your negativity elsewhere.

Nathan & Stana have “Great Chemistry!” What show are some of you watching? Is it me, or this show trying its best to be like the ‘Awful’ Fourth & Fifth Seasons of “Moonlighting,” or the Seventh Season of “Gilmore Girls?” This show needs ‘Creative Exceptional Writing,’ with some Greatness sprinkled in! I wanted more Castle & Beckett not less! Trading a Great Pairing for Mediocre ones is NOT smart! Watching Stana’s Beckett become Nikki Heat running around “Sleeping with Everyone Else,” is just going to be “Annoying & Irritating,” and will not make this show better! Farscapefan had it right, Four Seasons of “Creative & Inventive” writing for Crichton & Aeryn, Castle & Beckett next to none! Why should I evan bother or care?

    • Farscapefan

Uhm… don’t you exagerate a little bit? The second season has not yet started and we really don’t know what’s going to happen. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for Beckett and Castle eventually getting together, but not too fast – and another woman in the picture may only help Beckett realize how she really feels about Castle. Hopefully this agent lady disappears as soon as possible…

The chemistry between Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion is amazing, I’m not sure what show you naysayers are watching. And Stana Katic is a fantastic nuanced actress. She conveys more emotion with a glance or a sly smile than a lot of actresses do in severe over-emote mode. I think too many people are used to overacting and not real acting.

  • CK

Love this show. Can’t wait for season two!

  • enami

Stana Katic boring?? Are we watching same show??
She & Nathan have great chemistry & can’t wait for 2nd season.

If you want to see boring, go watch Robin Tunney on “The Mentalist. Now that gal is boring with capital B.

  • Cruiserkev

I can’t believe I am hearing so much praise for the hiring of this shrill, obnoxious and annoying actress. She is the Fran Drescher of character actresses.

This show was such a good idea from the get go, and Nathan stole this show the same way he did with One Life To Live and 2 Guys. Why can’t a network ever leave anything alone? Sometime the tweaks work, in this case, I feel they won’t, and I will really miss watching the only new show from last year that was worth tuning in to each week!

By adding another character into the mix, who is going to have their role cut? Susan Sullivan better not have any airtime cut, if anything she should have more. The relationship between mother and son is a riot!

  • Annie

EEEK – I am very leery of anything that involves tampering with the chemistry of the show. Katic & Fillion have GREAT chemistry, ala Booth & Brennan in Bones. What the show needs to perk it up a bit is better PLOT – victims that have interesting side-stories, not just random homicides. This is a great show, Mazar is a gamble I’d rather not risk.

  • Tal

Correct me if I’m wrong, but a site reporting an actor has a “recurring stint” does NOT mean that she’s going to be a regular character in the show…. I think there’s some unnecessary concern raised here.

  • elisabeth

I don´t like Debi Mazar! But if she contribute with Castle and Beckett romance, welcome her! Stana boring? She is an amazing actress, and Fillion and her have a wonderful chemistry! I can´t wait for season two.

  • Kate

I agree with Doug. Why not bring the X-wife back?
And Sorry….I don’t see the Chemistry between Castle & Beckett.
