This just in: 'SNL' all-star Kristin Wiig NOT moving to 'Weekend Update'

Over rated and not even funny… please just go away Kristin

I have to laugh at the idea of Kristen Wiig joining WU being in any way a good thing. Like she’s not overused enough as is. The thing is, she can actually be funny when she’s more subtle, yet every character she plays is a variation on every other over-the-top character she plays in about seven sketches every week. The exception is Gilliem who sucks despite being mellow.

The only good Update team anchors were Jane Curtin and Dan Aykroyd. It’s much better to keep it solo; Seth is fine when he’s not paired with the insufferable Amy Poehler.

I think Wiig is great. One of my favorites.
Booting Watkins was a huge mistake. She barely got anytime to show us what she can do! Not even a whole year! Come on, Lourne!
I, too, find Seth a little boring.
And am I the only who is tired of all the political satire?? I dont care who they are making fun of, even though its always the conservatives, but come on! It’s the same thing over and over again. You guys think Wiig plays the same people everytime? How about the whole show is the same thing?! I can never stand watching any of their politic stuff anymore. Seth, give us new and funny sketches.

WAIT a second here….SNL still airs? WHAT? My lord, thought that junker went off air years ago.

I adore Seth (call me!) and he can certainly man the Weekend Update desk alone. (Really…call me!)Kristen Wiig plays a great character and I think is better elsewhere in the show.

Ashame that Watkins won’t return (Wilson was ‘okay’) – but I surely won’t miss ‘Bitch PlEEEEEZE!’ girl.
