Good news for those of us who like to obsess over SOAPNet’s Being Erica here on EW.com: The Canadian sci-fi-ish relationship drama will return to the U.S. on Jan. 20. And if you’d like to join in our obsession, even better news: The entire first season will re-run starting Oct. 17-18. Next season finds Erica — whose mysterious therapist, Dr. Tom, had the ability to send her back to key moments in her life for do-overs — exploring the dynamics of time travel and figuring out where the good doctor disappeared to in the cliffhanger finale.

yay! great show. i can’t wait.
YES! This is an epic win. Now, if I can find out whether the Season 1 DVD coming out in Canada will work here…
canadian and american dvds are the same region
This show is really good. I’m excited for it to be back.
Being Erica is a really great show. I can’t wait for season 2!
I’m so excited! LOVE this show.
are you people serious??! this show makes me want to stab myself in the eye…repeatedly.
Like most of the others, I add a, “Yay!” Can’t wait to fill in the gaps of missed eps this Oct, and get a whole new season in Jan! Yay!
I found “Being Erica” while channel surfing one night. I think it must have been about midseason and I quickly became addicted to this show. I lived the characters life many years ago. I completely related to the life of this 30ish, single, jewish girl and felt like this could have been my life story..Are there any plans for this show coming out of DVD because I missed the beginning of the show. I would really appreciate any info and look forward to the new season of “Being Erica”.
If you are going to check on this days later. Who knows? I will tell you that I have the season one DVDs, and I ordered them from amazon.ca. Heck, I even got the soundtrack. They are region 0, but official Canadian releases. Apparently the Canucks are not afraid of the piracy.
Love this show!

For viewers outside Canada, yes, Season One is on dvd now (and is compatible with the US – we’re not England!). Enjoy Season 2 and contact the CBC here in Canada to renew the show for a third season!!! Love this show.
Great show! Looking forward to every episode.
As a Canadian I have already seen Season 2 and it was fantastic. I was crying by the finale. I can’t wait till season 3 and hope that there will be one.
I have to say, I loved season 1 for its perfect balance between comedy and drama, very much in the spirit of the first Back to the Future film… but I found season 2, which just ended over here, too serious, sometimes bordering on depressing (though not quite as dark as Back to the Future 2). I’m only saying this so you can prepare yourself and maybe avoid my disappointment—hey, at least they tried to take the show in a different direction.
It just didn’t quite work for me: while last year I could easily relate to the character, this year I often found her excessively self-righteous.
So I’m hoping for a lighter, happier season 3.
