They need to bring back Heather Locklear. Pay her what she is worth. If they do that it will bring in a bigger audiance.

Melrose Place was actually a lot better than I thought it would be. Kept me intrigued and watching, and as a fan of high-intensity crime-drama shows, it takes a lot to hold my viewership on a show of this genre. I wasn’t disappointed by far, will tune in as often as possible for Melrose.

90210 on the other hand was terrible. I hated the Naomi, Silver, and Adrianna friendship thing – and you have to seriously be lacking eyesight to believe that that Teddy is believable as high school age (plus he was incredibly bland). The only good parts of the ep were Elisabeth Rohm’s scenes. Her character was good and it was nice to see her on TV again.

I watched both and I am in their middle aged demographic (watched the originals) not the young aged demo. I was happy with 90210 and looking forward to Melrose getting better. Giving it 6-8 episodes before abandoning.

I have the episode sitting on my dvr, but I just haven’t been interested in checking it out yet. Maybe someday I’ll be bored enough.

You can’t remake a classic. The original Melrose Place was a great show for the time it was in. A spin off from 90210, the show had massive fan parties every week at each others houses. I can’t see that happening to the new one. These remakes and many other young shows like Gossip Girl etc, rely on good looking people rather than acting talent and storylines. FAIL.

I want all the show on this channel to fail. CW is not CBS Warnr Bros, it is Crappy White channel. The ch has no diversity & is all about teen sex. I want this channel to fail.

UPN & WB shouldnt have ever merged.

Ashlee Simpson was HORRENDOUS. Girl’s got ZERO talent.

With Thomas Calabro (the best thing about the original MP) back as Michael Mancini, the show has to be at least somewhat good. Hopefully, his character will have a larger role in the weeks to come. If you bring back Heather Locklear, you almost certainly have to bring back Jack Wagner, since they faked their deaths together.

Not really in the demo of viewership, I watched anyway to see what it had to offer. It was sex, lies and soap. What more do you want? The other networks have to realize that reality shows,CSI and lame comedy is getting boring. Just give us(the older viewers) the Dallas, Falcon Crest shows back. My friends watched the original 90210 and MP series and now it time for a shift back to these trite “night time soaps” Turn in over 34′s and just think back to when we were young. You wish!

I was very disappointed in the show. How did Ashley Simpson get an acting job? She was terrible – especially compared to the other actors. Did her father pay them to hire her?

  • Harris Wills

The new MP is even more shallow, vapid than the first. I really hate what they’ve done with the returning characters. It might have been nice to grow them up into more mature, likeable characters as foils for the young brats. But they’ve made Dr. Mancini, Sydney and Jane even worse. My recollection is that Jane was kind of nice in the original.

I LOVE Melrose Place. It’s so much better than 90210. Please don’t cancel it; I’m an avid fan!

  • Georgios

I’m surprised to see some negative comments here — MP has actually been quite good. Please don’t cancel it!
