The problem is, we don’t know who is setting the conditions. Do the actors want to move on to other projects or is the Network trying to save money by giving less time to it higher paid actors. (Perhaps they need to save more money to afford Goldblume’s new contract.)

It sounds like the network is setting the stage for the next generation of CI stars and the are easing us out of the original characters.

I think it sucks because I am prefer the original actors. Goren and Eams are Criminal Intent to me. Still, there may be a bright side. You can tell Vincent doesn’t have his heart in it any more and Erbe is really being wasted. I’ve see her do soooo much more amazing parts (her role from “Oz” still gives me shivers!) and maybe now she can get out there and find something to show what a great actress she is.

Erbe partnering with Vincent and Jeff would work great. Vincent is CI – take him off and not the same, ever! Ditto Erbe.

CI WILL NEVER BE THE SAME W/O VINCENT & KATHERINE….PEOPLE STAYED TUNED IN BECAUSE OF THEM AND HOW WELL THEY WORKED TOGETHER, AMONG OTHER FACTORS. GOLDBLUM DOES NOTHING FOR THE SHOW AND HIS CHARACTER IS A HODGEPODGE OF OTHER ENTITIES. AS FAR AS JULIENNE’S CHARACTER, I NEVER CARED FOR HER EITHER…NO CHEMISTRY W/THE OTHER CHARACTERS. WHEN KATHERINE & VINCENT LEAVE THE SHOW, IT WILL BE THE LAST TIME I WATCH IT. TOO BAD THE NETWORK ISN’T BENDING OVER BACKWARDS TO GET THEM TO STAY. I FIGURE THAT ONCE THEY ARE GONE, THE SHOW WILL PROBABLY NOT RETURN FOR ANOTHER SEASON AFTER THIS ONE OR IT WILL JUST BE CANCELLED.

It’s the only L&O I watch. IF VDO is not there, I won’t be either. He and Erbe are great together…the only replacement that would make sense is Annabella Sciorra if Erbe wants out.

  • alan

Vincent D’Onofrio IS that show. His chemistry with Erbe is wonderful. I have a hard time tuning in to the non Goren/Eames episodes, and if they leave altogether, so do I.

  • D KEEFE

Criminal Intent will not be the same if D’Orofino is not back. As most of the comments say, he is CI along with Erbe. I know he would like to move on to other interests, but this show will not make it without him. Look at Law and Order, without Jerry Orbach and without Noth/Bratt it hasn’t been the same. I don’t even watch it anymore.

burrows is pretty but not a good actor at ALL. i loved boston legal but couldnt watch any scenes with her in them. i’m just sayin’…

    • Louise

      sooo agree !

When will the show premiere. I will not watch CI, if Erbe and D’Onofrio leave. Show will not be the same without them…SOOOO SAD…

  • Louise

CI is my favourite of all the Law and Order series. Erbe & D’Onofrio certainly made this show, but Goldblume is a good addition. I agree if you can get Annabella Sciorra she’d be great witrh Goldblume

I cannot believe that any of you really lack such total intelligence that you would let Goldblum replace D’Onofrio and Erbe. I will never watch this show again, and I watched it since the first episode entitled “One.” It was bad enough when you let Jamey Sheridan go, but Goren and Eames? Goldblum is the WORST! Chris Noth much better but nothing to compare with Vincent and Erbe. I will watch repeats of them on another channel to see the best actors that you USED to have working for you; I so hope CBS or another network picks up Erbe and Vincent for another type of series and kicks you and Goldblum out of the running. How totally uninformed can anyone be?

What is with USA?? Goren and Eames are the show. I could even tolerate Goldblum and Nicholson but the original cast was the best. Ita with the comments of Eames pairing with both Goren and Goldblum too. I also liked the Captain but felt that he was underutilized. Regardless, I definitely will not watch the show without Donofrio.
