let’s pair chris noth and jeff goldblum for a bit!!!!!

I really don’t even care anymore. CI has pretty much sucked for the past few seasons, and it only got worse when it moved to USA. They should just cancel it and put it out of its misery.

i enjoyed the rotation of characters..kept the whole premise of the show from going stale..will miss julianna but think katherine brings out the best of both male leads

    1. What does ‘in some capacity’ mean? I understand Vincent is ready to move on and that this might be his last season. If that’s the case, I hope that he and Kathryn have a fantastic last season–well written plots (better than last season, please!), excellent acting and some resolution on that underlying tension between Goren and Eames.

    2. I will miss Julianne. I always liked her.

    3. I wouldn’t mind if Saffron Burrows was just a temporary replacement. Then, in the 10th season (if Kathryn hasn’t left the show as well), Nichols and Eames pair up as the main partnership on the show. They had great chemistry and it would be nice to see that again.

    4. To Barbara E. about Nichols and Goren teaming up–I think that would be hilarious to watch for one episode!

    Bring back Alicia Witt!!!

    • Duderonomy

Oh no no no no no. I’ve liked her elsewhere, but she was Alicia Wood on CI. Terrible.

      • Jodi

Have to agree with you on this one. I didn’t like her at all.

If D’Nofrio is thinking he doesn’t want to come back (The ‘some capacity’ bit gives me pause) then partner Erbe with Goldblum for a whole season and be done with it. It was refreshing when she partnered with him because as much as he can steal the show, she didn’t fall by the wayside

  • Joan

Sorry to see Nicholson go. I am not familiar with the new person. The words “in some capacity” is distressing. They should try to slow down and keep things familiar for all or we will probably jump ship.

  • swthompson

    I’ve always liked Saffron Burrows.

  • chick

I haven’t watch much this season as Erbe is terrible – do something with the hair- and Goldbloum is not an actor. I’ll watch again if they rid these two.

  • Todd

I too liked Nicholson, too bad she isn’t coming back. But this past season when Erbe partnered with Goldblum, it totally worked. So yeah, why not have her just partner up with both, unless of course it is a shooting conflict sort of thing. If they shoot episodes simultainiously then yeah she couldn’t do them all.

I liked Goldblum, I thought he fit the show’s format perfectly. I hope D’onoffiro stays, too.

As for Saffron Burrows, L&O: Original has had some pretty wooden people on that show over the years, especially as Jack’s partner. So perhaps CI can survive with Burrows, too. I liked her in Reign on Me, so who knows – she may be ok.

  • Rowan

I love Goldblum in CI, he’s the reason I started watching the show again. I will miss Nicholson, but Burrows would be a fine replacement. Erbe is always great, and interesting. She could do both cycles, although I’m betting it’s cheaper to get someone else to work the Goldblum cycle. D’Onofrio’s character is getting boring and predictable. They need to give him better scripts.

  • binghamtonmom

Get rid of D’onofrio. He is so full of himself.

  • Carol

I think they should partner Jeff Goldblum and Vincent D’Onofrio. Then they can have a contest to see who can be the most strange. Jeff could bring his weird cadence thing and Vincent can bring his weird body language.

  • elleclue

D’Onofrio’s character is all uniquely interesting but however can sometime be redundant, I have to agree about alternating with Goldblum’s character with Erbe.

  • elleclue

    D’Onfrio really deserves an Emmy.
