Just kidding. She’s still dead. But her super-fabulous portrayer, Michelle Forbes, was alive, kicking, and answering all of my burning questions at Entertainment Weekly‘s pre-Emmy party last night. Among her take-away quotes: “If you’re going to die on TV, you want Alan Ball to write your death scene.”
To see who else I ran into at last night's bash (hint: Kaley Cuoco, Katee Sackhoff, Carlton Cuse, and more) head over to our Emmy hub ASAP.

Michelle was awesome in this role. She freaked me out, more and more with each episode! She will be missed.
Hated this character!
I’ll second that, but the fabulous Michelle Forbes made it easier to put up with Maryann. Why some series hasn’t snapped up this great actress is beyond me.
I agree too! couldnt stand her! glad to see her off’d.
What a desperate clown you are. You need to lie to attract any attention to your useless columns.
And yet…here you are commenting.
I know this year’s Emmys haven’t even aired, but I think Michelle Forbes totally deserves one next year.
i agree with ricky..you’re really selfish.
Michelle’s greatest line in TB: “Do I have to do everything around here?” She’s so great!!
Michelle Forbes was AMAZING as Mary Ann….I’m gonna miss her
I hated Maryanne, but Michelle did a hell of a job making me hate her character!!
Your tagline was stupid and rude Aussie what’s up with your idiot behavior of late?
You’re such a tease Mark! But Whew! Anyway.
Michelle Forbes was fantastic! Ryan – good call on the Emmy nomination for her. I totally second that.
She was great, I can’t say the same about the show’s writing.
that was so mean your heading but i let you off becasue you bring me great gossip every week! michelle forbes was so brilliant in this role its a shame she has to go but we so could not have had any more maryanne, i agree with everyone else that she deserves an emmy nod next year!
I have loved Michelle Forbes since I first saw her on Guiding Light years ago as twins Sunny and Solita. It’s awesome to see her still getting juicy roles like that of MaryAnn.
She was great as the hard drinking medical examiner on Homicide Life On the Street and also on 24 a few seasons back, but both times she wore her hair short and I think her long hair on TB makes her look fab…not to mention I’d love to own all the outfits in her TB wardrobe!
I’m looking forward to seeing her in “Durham County”. I am watching the first season (2007) on ION right now and it is a trip. This is the first show I’ve ever watched on ION. Michelle gave another interview recently and mentioned “Durham County” so I put it on my calendar.
