'Melrose' scoop: New details on Heather Locklear's return!

The news about Heather Locklear’s return to Melrose Place keeps getting better: Sources confirm that Locklear will play Katie Cassidy’s boss at the PR firm, a genius move that will pit the show’s former and current vixens against one another. This doesn’t come as a complete surprise since Cassidy dropped hints about a workplace showdown between Amanda and Ella at Entertainment Weekly‘s pre-Emmy party last week. Oh, how convenient — the video of that interview is after the jump!

I used to watch the original MP and have absolutely no desire to see this 2.0 version. Not even with the original cast. Sounds like they’re getting desperate.

    • Jen

You’re missing out. It’s actually pretty good.

      • amj

Agreed, so far, I am pleasantly surprised.

TW15T3D32 on October 24, 2011 I have been doing this and it does work If anoyne would like a link to a legit site that does these offers Pm me.

I agree, the cast is gelling well together, for the most part (I’m reserving judgment on Riley, who at this point is driving me nuts). It’s kind of really good so far. I love the attraction between Violet and Auggie. Makes sense since she’s her daughter. Maybe. I think she might be Jane’s, though. That would explain the DNA test, and why Sydney seemed so sure of herself when she denied it. Also, we know Josie Bissett is coming back later this season, so that would fit perfectly. Yep. And, for the record, Auggie is fracking hot.

i think there was a whole storyline before josie bissett left the show that focused on jane being adopted, so therefore sydney and jane would not have the same dna.

Love Katie. She’s one of this season’s breakout stars.

    • chris

That would require someone actually seeing her on the show.

  • Kristina

Yeah, the show is not good and the acting is so bad. SO BAD. At least 90210 is improving.

  • Bill

Ignore the haters. The new MP is a good show. Does everyone forget what the old show was? We aint doing “I, Claudius” here folks– it just needs to be good trashy fun. And the new show has better acting than the old one (Ashlee Simpson-Wentz aside).

    • amj

Yes, Ashlee Simpson Wentz aside agreed.

I just checked out the first 2 episodes and I have to admit that I love it. I am now hooked and will be tuning in tonight to catch episode #3. I thought I’d better check out what is going on with the show now that I know Heather is returning. I honestly like the new show. When the original was on, me and my teacher would interrupt class every week to talk about it – we’d take up almost the whole hour. I was in junior high.

    • amj

I love it too but have to say shame on your teacher…

  • Dan

Is Heather Locklear joining the cast, as in she will be a series regular, or going to be a recurring character, like Jennie Garth’s Kelly on “90210″, or will she only be on a few episodes?

  • scottycmh

or will she be the eternal “Special Guest Star”?

  • SadButTrue

Maybe Botox is the answer to the woes on MP

  • pai

Just stopped by to share how much I enjoyed seeing the words “genius move” in regards to “Melrose Place.” Good on ya, Aussie!

  • Mac

And now I’ll have to keep watching while I was just about to give up…! :-)

Didn’t Amanda fake her death in the first series? I remember a funeral for her and Jack. Wonder how they’re gonna explain that one?

    • Vgrl1990

Maybe we’ll see a flashback of Amanda and Sydney sharing a prison cell.. for committing the same crime!

    • amj

Yes, they faked their own death to get away from it all which is also why Michael is rich. He ended up with the money courtesy of Amanda and Jack.

Abby to Paige – “You’re good. On the Abby scale, 10 being Abby, I’d say you’re about a 6. Which is very good considering your youth and ignorance.” -Knots Landing

  • Vgrl1990

and to be accurate, she faked her death twice on the original show

Ok so i am new to this whole Cross fit Endurance but i am hooked. I am just hviang a hard time transitioning to this. I am a huge runner and love long distance running and love Triathlons but its so hard to do these speed work outs and feel like that i am doing the same work as i would be doing during a long distance training. Also I am doing the WOD two to three times a week, should i be doing more or what? Just need a little guidance is all. Thanks

  • Amanda Woodward

OK here are the rules the writers need to follow in order to bring Amanda back right:
    1. She has to say “How dare you!” to at least one character.
    2. She needs to look bemused and do that eye roll thing when Ella inevitably tries to insult her.
    3. She needs to use the word “pathetic” at least once.
    4. She needs to wear something inappropriate to work.
    5. One of the male characters needs to profess their love to her.
