House rulez!!! Season premiere was BEAUTIFULL! Haven’t seen better ep in my life!

Did anyone expect Leno to average more? The show is cheap and NBC sucked at 10 last year. Hurray for the death of Heroes! If it has the same ratings drop weekly as last year, a cancellation is guaranteed.

  • Tammy

Heroes was great! More people should have watched :(

    • Steve

problem with heroes is it faces three popular shows at its timeslot. It really has no chance to compete.

  • House

I guess a lot of non-Huddy fans decided to give House another chance – I just hope they don’t screw up with more unbearable Huddy crap.
    The premiere was amazing!

I’m glad people are watching How I Met Your Mother and Castle

  • Rob

Big Bang Theory awesome, i thought they have problems moving to 9:30 but it doesn’t look like it. I feel bad for Leno he will probably average the same amount of people when he did the Tonight Show.

  • Chelsea

Really interesting. I’m glad The Big Bang Theory is doing so well and that so many people tuned in for that AMAZING episode of House. Hopefully people will keep watching How I Met Your Mother and Castle, another two excellent shows.

I watched “House” live and DVR’d “Heroes.” I wonder if this rating includes timeshifted viewers. “Castle” is one of the best-kept secrets on tv. I absolutely love it; especially the “in jokes” for long-term tv and mystery fans like bringing in Stephen J. Cannell, James Patterson, Michael Connelly, and such. The only night with more jam-packed programming than Monday is Friday with the wall-to-wall CBS shows, “Dollhouse,” and “Smallville.” Also Thursdays are pretty chock full, too, with “Supernatural,” “Bones,” “The Mentalist,” and “Fringe.” It’s a DVR free-for-all!

Could this be the final nail in Heroes’s coffin?

Heroes was better than it’s been in quite a while, but the series past mistakes are pretty hard to forget. Chuck averaged more than Heroes is getting, I don’t want to wish bad thing on the network but I’m hoping that one of the new show doesn’t do so well and Chuck can come back earlier.I miss Chuck on Mondays.

    • Jackie

I agree – I just don’t understand why Chuck is always in danger of cancellation and Heroes gets a free pass when their ratings are about the same (or Chuck’s might even be a little higher). A really competitive time slot though. My daughter already has to miss Gossip Girl because of DWTS (mine) and HIMYM (both of ours). When Chuck comes back it’ll be goodbye DWTS.
      Too many choices.

Because Heroes does huge numbers in DVR recording, online watching, international ratings, and has a lot of traffic on the show’s NBC.com-based Web page, for which a lot of new media is generated on a regular basis that truly makes the show a little more of an interactive experience for hardcore fans. The show’s domestic ratings are problematic, but it’s making a killing in many other categories that are starting to become just as important as Nielsen numbers. The only jeopardy the show faces is the show many of NBC’s higher-budget shows face: the network going into rebuilding mode due to its domestic ratings struggles across the board – save Sunday Night Football, obviously – and its current fragile economic standing. If the network needs to pull in the belt, Heroes will likely get axed due to its budget with the ratings shares used as the excuse.

  • NotConan

Media loves to trash Jay. If he averages 5.7 million viewers, then his show is a big success for NBC.

    • Steve

i agree. nbc does not expect jay leno to compete with these shows. just a plan to save money and keep jay from a competing network.

  • barman

HIMYM was awesome!!!!! Loved every minute of it! <3

    • msw

I wholeheartedly agree! Loved Robin and Barney—funny and so appealing together. OR, I mean…NOT together.

  • mom7801

I have basic (and I do mean basic) cable, so I watch Jay when there is absolutely nothing else on. He’s a good Plan B for me. But my heart belongs to Castle on Mondays @ 10:00. Looking forward to The Good Wife pilot tonight. Other Monday night faves are HIMYM and Big Bang. I don’t care for DWTS.

I thought Heroes was really great last night. It would be a shame to see it die.

I just never understood the level of salivating people have over watching something fail. Do you personally gain something from it? I suppose an opening that could be filled with something better but thats about it. Doesn’t seem worth it to me to be writing on a board everyday practically screaming for something to fail. Shows I like I watch and those I don’t, I just don’t care about period.

    • H

There was some research done that seeing someone fail or something actually activates the pleasure centres of the brain.
