okay thrilled about TVD but Melrose seriously??? what are they smoking with that one?.

    • amj

I actually like Melrose! It is really getting interesting and seeing them explain the gaps between the past and present is fun. So, there is an audience for it because I am part of that audience.

      • chris

        me too! I like it!

    • Jess

I was referring more to the ratings. considering how quickly things with much better ratings get canceled I’m surprised. Also I loved the original and the fact that they’re already getting originals like Josie Bissett and Heather Locklear to come back to save them doesn’t say much for the show I know its a remake but its earlier to be pulling out those kinda stops.

Who are you??!?!?? What are YOU smoking??

    • @TweedleV

im part of that audience too. Ppl write off the show so quickly without even watchnig more than one ep. 90210 has had a full season already and still blows.

  • Ely

sooo happy about vampire, and even OTH. but they rlly should just give up on melrose.

  • Becca

So, the sub 2 million ratings for Melrose Place are considered a good thing? Wow. Not surprised about Vampire Diaries or even OTH, but what next, will the CW decide to pick up the entire season’s worth of TBL because they just love record lows?

  • Ryan

I’m sure they just want to be safe just in case Amanda saves the show. But what about Gossip Girl?!

    • Luis PJ

the episode already ordered…the next order could be mid to end of the season….what you think they do when you what the show for the next season

  • edgar loredo

    Nice, Melrose Place rocks!

    • amj

agreed and I cannot wait for the return of Amanda!

    • Kimberly

I agree, I am glad the CW is giving it a chance. I am a huge fan of the original, and the first episode was kind of dissapointing to me, but the second and third episodes have gotten better and better, and I hope more people give it a chance, because it is SO good..

      • Matt

Agreed! I’m all caught up now, and I’m enjoying the new Melrose for exactly what it’s supposed to be…. Campy, trashy fun! I’m also glad that the CW is giving it a shot!

I’m not completely hooked on Vampire Diaries, though, but I’ll give it another episode or two

      • Henry

I bet we could really boooooost the ratings Kimberleeeee! We should be special guest stars Kimberleeee… you know what you’re going to do to if CW cancels this show, I’m still inside you! Hahahahahaha!

  • J

This network cares about hype and nothing more.

  • Josh

Well how could the CW not pick up Melrose with its 1.5 million in ratings. I think they are banking on Heather Locklear bring in millions and millions of viewers. And I’m also sure since they are canceling TBL very soon, they don’t want to cancel two of their new shows. Let’s face it the CW is an embarassment.

    • Jess

i know they move Smallville to Friday but they give a show with record lows more episodes… don’t understand the thinking process

      • Eric

Smallville is moved to Fridays because it has an audience that is less likely to be hurt than most of the CW’s other shows. Nerdy boys are less likely to be busy than teen girls on Fridays.

    • @TweedleV

I tried to watch TBL and it really didnt hold my interest, I think I’ve hit my ceiling with CW shows After OTH, Vampitre Diaries and Melrose lol

  • Stacey

Why pick up more Melrose Place when it keeps sinking in the ratings. Bring out “Life UneXpected” instead. Although Beautiful Life is likely to sink soon. But still, waste to continue Melrose Place when it’s not even getting maintaining it’s current ones. And even 90210 is doing better… But no brainer about Vampire Diaries. I LOVE that show.

  • taylorrness

no shock for OTH, but really, let’s admit that this is probably its last season and let it go out with some dignity. as much as i disliked Lucas and Peyton last season, the show is not the same without them.

    • Realme2008

I agree. I like One Tree Hill, but it’s time for the series to come to a close. It should have ended after season six if you ask me. Let it bow out gracefully.

    • Elizabeth

Agreed. I watched the season premiere and that was it for me. I won’t be watching it anymore. I fast forwarded through most of it anyways, I thought it was that bad.

  • jen

oth is kinda meh this season…vampire diaries is great so why just the scripts? melrose should be dead.

  • Gabriela

The CW in a magnanimous act has ordered more MP episodes: to see if they can pull off actually lower ratings than TBL, is like a horse race

  • a

    what about gossip girl?

    • michelekamay

Come down, GG is safe for the whole season, as Smallville or Supernatural are.
4,8 million of viewers tuned in TVD but only 1,5 saw the TBL. It’s time to face it CW, stop relying on fastlane and glitters and bet on deeper plots

  • chrisjozo

What a stupid decision. Instead of admitting that Melrose Place is a failure they add six more episodes. What about Supernatural which actually gets good ratings.

    • Ally

I’m sure Supernatural was already picked up for a full season. As were Gossip Girl, Smallville and ANTM.

    • CandyMaize

When Supernatural was renewed for Season 5, they were given a 22-episode order at that time.

  • Enough

I thought OTH had a full season order already?

I am assuming Gossip Girl already has a full season order, along with Smallville and SPN.
