    soooo excited for this show! I’m soooo glad ABC is still committed in serialize drama even though they might not have CBS ratings.

    Meh. Not that whelmed over here. I’ve seen a couple dozen promos like this before, with the same editing, pacing, action shots and even music. Big whoop. I hope they can do something good with this new series, but poorly aging special effects aside, the actual writing of the original mini-series stands up well. (The second mini and the full series kinda blew, but that’s not Kenneth Johnson’s fault.) I don’t know where they can (or will) go with this that might make it relevant or compelling without being excruciatingly P.C.

    Network Broadcast Television truly doesn’t trust in shows like V and Defying Gravity and even Flash Forward. Unfortunately, if V doesn’t get huge huge huge ratings, it won’t last 13 eppies, let alone a full season. The networks don’t believe these types of shows are “family friendly” either, or that demographics outside their targeted audience will watch. I will not invest myself in V again to have it yanked again. I’m still smarting over the losses of Jericho and Moonlight over on CBS. Period.

    Strange, the promo I saw on FlashForward had a Muse song. This does not.

    If Invasion lasted 13 episodes I certainly think this show will. The casting is brilliant, the special effects look great, and there doesn’t seem to be a show like it on television at the moment. I think a lot of Battlestar fans, Lost fans, firefly, sci fi fans in general will watch this show. I think it has potential to be a huge hit. Considering this day in time politically there shouldn’t be a shortage of storylines. I predict it will get picked up next season as well. Of course if the writing slacks off then all bets are off, but as of this moment I think this will be a hit.
    Elizabeth Mitchell from Lost, not exactly a bad lead actress.

    I wish Morena’s hair were long rather than that awful, unflattering, unsexy pixie cut. The sheer hideousness of it just telegraphs (Di-)Anna’s villainy and even though she’s the lead antagonist, IMO, they need to be able to give the character someplace to *go,* to grow in whatever direction they want her to go rather than start out with her already there.
