It's official: Vincent D’Onofrio to exit 'Law & Order: CI'

USA Network is finally confirming what I first hinted at last week: Vincent D’Onofrio is exiting Law & Order: CI. Read the full post.

If they had kept Kathryn Erbe, I would have continued to watch. But this means that NO ONE on the first 8
years of CI will be on it anymore. That is sad.

voy a extrañar al gran actor Vincent, pero espero verlo en otras actuaciones.

  • JennMarie

Noooooooo! I love Jeff Goldblum and all, but without Vincent D’Onofrio there is no reason to watch.

  • Lisa

I will never watch that show again once Vince and Kathryn leave… Jeff Goldblum is a joke on that show and should be shot as part of a case that needs to be solved :)

  • philipa

At least they aren’t killing him off, leaves hope for return guest spots, that is if there is still a show to come back to, goldbloom stinks and without Vince, Kate and Eric there is no show for me, vince leaves I leave, lot’s of luck with a season ten USA YOU WILL NEED IT!

While I stopped watching CI religiously when it moved to USA, I did watch the eps with Erbe & VD… I now have NO reason to tune in. I blame NBC for moving the show to USA in the first place!!

  • Cyndi

Ugh! The only reason I watch CI is because of D’Onofrio and Erbe. I think they make a great team and I enjoy watching how they play off each other. Goldblum is alright… but I tend to watch the show less when I know it’s an episode with him. I’ll probably end up not watching the show anymore… a shame… It won’t have the same lore as before.

  • JEFF FROM JERSEY; YES NEW JERSEY

I noted on another site that though it is unfortunate about the cast changes, you should not count the show out. Note to Mr. Wolf: Richard Belzer noted that his character was never on CI. I smell a ratings boost.

Vincent makes the show. THis is one of 2 shows that I take the time to watch. When he is gone, we in this house are gone as well. Vincent makes the viewer think. Whoever made this decision, I know will soon regret it. The new Jeff, is trying to be like Goren. But he falls very short. I will follow Vincent to his next show. After he is off, goodbye Law and Order CI.

With VD leaving Law and Order: CI, they might as well end the series, I won’t be watching, and I suppose a lot of other people won’t be watching either.

  • debbie

I knew it would happen, but it is extemely disappointing. I LOVE eames… and GOREN is the best detective ever!! Jeff Golblum is good, But I don not like the fact that his character seems to be trying to copy Goren’s character. YUK!

  • Drl

Say it isn’t so! Thank you Mr. D’onfrio for the wonderful character you created in Bobby Goren! However, without Goren, the show is over! I wish Mr. D. The best in all his future endeavors and I have no doubt that we will see more and more of his extraordinary talent on the big screen. I will miss my weekly fix however!

  • Kes

I won’t be watching without Goren & Eames. Thanks for the ride guys, it’s been awesome.

  • mscj

Oh HELL NO. If gordon goes I will be walking out the door with him. nothing against jeff b. but I love Goren and Eames I will not watch the show. I only WATCH TO SEE THE PAIR……………..

  • Kate

Obviously sad VDO and KE will be leaving, but I think it’s cool he’s leaving the door open to ‘pop up from time to time’. Certainly was a positive statement from him, and I thought it was cool he acknowledged his fans. Vince: You rock! :)
