    hmmm i don’t think so.
I didn’t think they were planning on revealing the mom on that episode.
I agree with the mom’s friend or roommate or something.

  • Melissa

i agree i bet she is the “mother’s” friend or a connection to her i really don’t see her as the mother…

This is GREAT news! I love the idea of Rachel Bilson as the mother.

I adore this show, but for the sake of my ears, I hope Rachel Bilson is not cast. Her voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

It should be noted that Ted’s kids both have light eyes (blue-green-ish), while Ted has dark eyes, so it would be nice if the actress cast as YM had light-colored eyes, too. I’m not sure how much casting directors consider that, though.

    I barely remember the Jamie-Lynn Sigler episode(s)…. was she really a fake-out

  • Lili

ohhhh.. yay.. i LOVE her! :]

Rachel Bilson sucks as an actress, do not ruin this show please.

I’m with you Ted. This chick can’t act to save her life. This is an excellent cast so her lack of talent will stand out even more than usual. Why does this show keep hiring media wh0res as guest stars? The “unknowns” they hire are great – no need for these has beens and reality show stars. What’s next JJ from Good Times? The chick who played Cindy Brady? At least those 2 could act.

I’m not sure if Rachel will end up being the mother but I would really love it if she was. I have read quotes from the writers in the past where they said the mother would not be revealed until the final episode but based on the time line of the show Ted will have to meet her soon, it just won’t be revealed that she is the mother until the final episode. But I am very excited to see Ted be romantically involved with Rachel Bilson. I absolutely adore her.

    My prediction for ep 100:
The mother will be revealed to the Audience but not to Ted… we’ll spend the rest of the season jumping around their meetings and they meet in the season finale…

On Bilson: I must admit I’m a big Rachel Bilson fan. I would love to see her as the mother or just bringing her on as another cast member/regular… New blood would be a good way to keep the show fresh… Have they confirmed how many episodes she’s signed for?

On Meeting the Mother pre- series finale:
I don’t think it’s too soon to meet the mother now because I don’t think they thought the show would go this long… And from what Old Ted has said it has got to be this year I believe… I wouldn’t have a problem with them getting together and having their marriage be the series finale… they could get together and break up and do all the normal relationship stuff for a few seasons. Keep in mind this isn’t how I met the girl I married, it’s how i met your mother the difference between the two could be significant or not…

I have a feeling she’s going to be the sister of the girl Ted bumped into in the episode “No Tommorow” the one that took place on St. Patty’s day.

She’ll see the yellow umbrella and say something like “my sister’s been looking everywhere for that thing”. Something like that. I think the girl he bumped into is the mother.

I bet Vbresd works for the show. :) No complaints tho! ;)
