'Supernatural' first look: Sam and Dean check into Seattle Grace!

supernatural-greys_lThey don’t literally check into Seattle Grace. ABC would never allow that. Instead, the Nov. 5 episode — appropriately titled “Changing Channels” — finds the brothers Winchester trapped in some very familiar TV settings. In addition to their Grey’s Anatomy cameo (pictured), Sam and Dean cross over into a CSI-type series as well as a traditional sitcom. Word on the street is that the cheeky Grey’s bit features several nods to the actual ABC drama, including one that Supe fans will find particularly amusing. Guesses?

    TRICKSTER!

    • Joe

That or Meg sat on the remote.

      • Izzie

lol! Or they pissed off the god of TV. Nah, it’s probably the Trickster. Love that guy!

I bet the Grey’s nod that’ll make SPN fans squee is something to do with JDM. *gasp* Maybe they have to gank Denny’s ghost!

  • patrick

probably going to reference denny being a “Ghost” on grey’s seeing as the actor was on both shows.

    • amanda

      good call,that would b super

    • Amy Leigh

Now THAT would be funny. Still wish that I hadn’t had to sit through that crap on Grey’s but at least SPN will make fun of it. LOL

      • ShutUpRob

It’s a now-obscure reference, but I hope that they also do a shout-out to John Ritter and Pam Dawber.

Good call. I’d go with BDW/Denny tie in. That would be awesome.

  • dared2move

It’ll have something to do with Jeffery Dean Morgan being in both shows…. ? yeah?

  • harry

    I so can’t wait!!!!!

  • dryedmangoez

Probably something referring to Papa Winchester? That would be hilarious. It would be awesome if they spoofed all their timeslot competitors. The CSI spoof they included in that long preview from last week had Jared doing an excellent David Caruso. (Haha.)

  • Diana

I really hope it’s the Trickster, and that the nod turns out to be Jeffery Dean Morgan.

  • steffi

This is going to be fantastic!

  • Sara

Oh, I hope they get nicknames. Sam is totally my Dr. McSexy. I cannot wait for this episode; it looks hilarious! I love Trickster episodes.

    • Heather

Was missing my Trickster too. Def JDM reference. Come back JDM! The CSI thing was so good that Jared should replace David Carouso.

I’d like to call Dean Dr. McSexierthanMcanyone.

      • Julia

“I’d like to call Dean Dr. McSexierthanMcanyone.” AGREED, Heather!

    • EmperorCheese

      Nah. It should be McDickie.
Hell, even Dean realized that he’s a dick in a recent episode.

  • Ryan

Something Jeffery Dean Morgan themed? Wasn’t he on Supernatural a time or to as well?

  • cassi

I have no idea, I only know that I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE IT!!!
The CSI CAMEO IS SO FUNNY!

    • Amy Leigh

The CSI-esque part is the one I’m looking forward to the most. Sam delivering a line about a murder David Caruso-style is priceless. Jared does an awesome impersonation.

      • cassi

        Jare was so awesome!!
        I can’t stop watching the soon-promo!

  • Leanna

I love this show for having the guts to take the absolute p*Ss out of other shows and fans and society in general.

Damn the boys look good in coats Sam especially and I cant wait to see the horatio caine mickey take.

  • Vicky

They should have done an “Office” like show too. Take a jab at all the competition in that time slot! Too funny. I can’t wait for this episode!

    • cassi

But 4.17 It’s a terribl life was a little bit like the “Office”.

      • evelyn27

I too would like to see them go all out though.

  • Renee

    I will be watching this.

  • Brooke

This show always has such awesome funny episodes.
