Exclusive: Jorja Fox makes her 'CSI' return (more) permanent!

Tags: , News

Jorja-Fox-CSI_lThis long-distance marriage thing seems to be working for Grissom and Sara on CSI. Exec producer Carol Mendelsohn confirms to me exclusively that Jorja Fox’s five-episode comeback has been extended indefinitely.

“We will be seeing a lot more of Jorja,” says Mendelsohn. “The season is about bringing the [CSI] family back together again, so [this] was just a natural. Jorja has been the glue that has really helped to reform the bond of our team.”

The exact number of episodes that Fox will appear in is still being worked out, but Mendelsohn says it’s substantially more than five. “From our point of view, the more the better,” she says. “As many episodes as we can have Jorja for we want her for.”

Despite the extension, Mendelsohn says there are no current plans for Grissom (William Petersen) to join his wife in Las Vegas.  Upcoming episodes will shed light on the couple’s unconventional living arrangement. “We will address the fact that Grissom is somewhere else and Sara is living in Vegas,” she reveals. “Everyone on the team is a little interested. They’re like, ‘What’s the deal? Grissom’s there, you’re here, how does that work?’

“They are a very modern couple and they have a very healthy relationship,” Mendelsohn elaborates. “They have found a balance in their life that allows them to still feel fulfilled in their marriage and their careers. If it works for them, it works for us.”

Does it work for you, CSI fans? Happy Fox is sticking around (almost) full-time? Or do you view Grissom-Sara as an all-or-nothing package deal? Sound off below!

Didn’t she just leave the show?

Did she realize she can’t act and no one else wants here?

    • Tarc

No, and considering that she can act with proficiency, I’m not surprised that she did do several projects according to IMDB. The steady money of a TV gig is a potenture lure, and the show isn’t exactly killing in the ratings since sara and Grissom left. It’s a win-win.

      • Maggie69

The show hasn’t been killing in the ratings since GRISSOM (only) left.

    • chris

you must be the same person that posting negative comments all around. obvious troll is obvious.

  • No_More_Horha!!

This is horrible news for those of us who hate Jorja and were glad to see her leave the show. I hate that Grissom and Sara are married and I wish that Grissom would just come back sans Sidle.

    • LAURIE

I agree I didn’t like Sara at all but I love Grissom WTH Bring him back and leave her out.

      • Tina

I agree I love Grissolm but can do without Miss “Perfect” Sarah Sidle

      • fan

how can u hate jorja fox. she was amazing. and will continue to be in this seasons episodes and any seasons to follow

    • Colleen

How can you hate Sara. Hate is the reason our world is falling appart. Jorja Fox is an amazing actress. I am positive you couldn’t do better. Take some advice from Thumper the rabbit; “IF YOU DON’T HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY, DON’T SAY IT AT ALL!!!”

    • GSRGaL

IDIOT, accept the fact that they’re married and you can’t do anything about.. Who cares if you don’t like Jorja, most of us do!! And that’s why she came back.

      • Cath

        here here!!!

    • chris

      No_More_Horha!! you’re such a troll baby

  • SAM

Sweet! Love Jorja Fox. Can’t wait to see the episodes. It would be awesome if William Petersen joins Fox in the episodes.

    • susan

I agree with you. I think the show has already been better since Jorja came back on too.

    • Mac

Sarah & Grissom are the best.

  • aaron

I never did like the sara character. I thought she was a crybaby and she always did what was good for her and not the team. and as for her and grissom, I hated thatset up. I thought they were pusing him toward Sofia, and next thing you know he’s in a hotel with Grissom! ah well, i think she is a good actress, I jusy hope shes more mature character wise tis time around.

    • Faza

He’s in a hotel with himself?

    • Mo

i agree..she was such a cry baby. i really dislike the grissom/sidle marriage and i never will adjust to it…I have never missed an episode of CSi since its beginning, until this season. To Start a new season without Grissom was unheard for me…so I left CSI like Grissom did.

  • Drewgo

    I’m thrilled she’s back… I love Jorja Fox….. Bring on Sara.. :-)

  • aaron

oops. sorry. Grissom was in hotel with sara, not himself!!! sorry… all though that would have been better for him.

  • JorjaFoxFan

I’m very excited she’ll be back for more episodes. The show needs a little of it’s old magic brought back, plus she’s easy on the eyes.

  • J

I’m so glad that Jorja Fox’s staying. She’s the main reason why I started watching CSI again after William Petersen left.

    • Great News!!!

She’s the ONLY reason I started watching CSI again after Grissom left.
But I’m disappointed that Grissom won’t be returning anytime soon.

      • VSH

I agree. Having Sara there is better than not having her there. Now if they’d just bring Will back I’d go back to watching every episode. I’ve followed him since he starred in Manhunter. He’s awesome. And I did like the marraige of Sara & Grissom. Now they need to both be back on the show… together!

    • Joel

Agreed. Well, that and the promise of a new serial killer that will be even more dumbfounding than the Miniature Killer. I’m more interested when the CSIs are trying to catch particularly tricky killers. I can watch Law and Order for just your everyday catch-the-killer story.

    • emerald

Totally agree, since Grissom left series has lost it’s touch for me lol!! He really was the backbone and no matter who they bring on board to replace him the series will miss him as for most He was the series!! Glad Jorja Fox back but it would be nice to get Grissom in now and then as a guest star to revive the series!! Perhaps the original format has just been going too long now, the C.S.I Miami and C.S.I NY spinoffs are still relatively fresh because the teams bond so well, but all actors want to move on don’t they and that’s what it comes down to in the end hm?!

      • Roxy

I agree.. My whole family watched the show and we’d call each other during the week and talk about the show. When Grissom left we tried to keep watching but the show lost it’s spunk after he was gone. The whole group dynamic changed. Now none of us watch it. I’d tune back for every episode if Grissom came back.

  • Amie

I am glad to see Sara back …Now for Grissom…I miss him :(

  • Amber

There are far too many negative comments for this article. But anyway, it’ll be awesome for me to watch some episodes of CSI again. I am one of those people that left the show when Jorja did since Sara had become my favorite character and Jorja a favorite actress. It looks like I’ll be watching episodes of CSI on the computer this year. I make no apologies that Supernatural now takes importance over CSI. Anyway, Yay! for more Jorja Fox episodes.

    • Michelle

Me too! I love Supernatural, so when Grissom left, I was like, “Oh, well. I can afford to watch those in reruns but I CANNOT MISS SUPERNATURAL! Love those guys.”

  • Ray

    Worst Idea Ever!
She was terrible before and I cheered and partied when she left. Now that she’s back it’s very uncool. I hate her character and wished they would have killed her off instead of the character of Warrick. The more she’s on, the less I want to see. I hate this move, 5 episodes was too much.

    • Settle down now

Wow, your life must suck if you partied because a tv character left. You might think about getting out of your mother’s house more often.

    • Maggie69

Ray … I ABSOLUTELY AGREE with you!!

    • chris

To Ray: obvious troll is obvious

  • Just Me

Hate her. Wish Grissom would come back and marry Lady Heather or be single. Can’t stand the two of them being together.

    • Lorie

      Ditto.

    • Brooke

how can u say tat they are prefect for each other, Heather isnt grissoms type even shes only likes the fact tat they are friends BRING ON SARA LOVE YAH

    • chris

oh hai baby troll. how many times you’ve posted here under different names baby?

      • chris

that was reference to “Just Me
        Wed 10/14/09 6:26 PM” lmao

  • Justin

    Welcome back, Sara!

  • Rowan

    I’m not loving it.

  • Kelly GIpson

I think it sucks that they took Sara,Grissom, and Warrick off. It really took alot out of the show. I hope that they somehow bring all 3 of them back permanently.

    • irvin

You do know that they killed Warrick off, I dont think they can get away with it being a dream like they did in the 80′s with Dallas.

    • Jackie

I don’t think “they” took them off. As far as Sara & Grissom, it was the actors choice to leave. Warrick – not so sure about that one. William Petersen is a producer of the show so he is technically one of them so by your logic he took himself off!

    • intexa2

Well, the soap operas and other TV shows manage to “resurrect” actors they killed off — maybe a twin brother or something.

But I do miss Grissom. Show’s not the same and has slipped into 2nd place behind NCIS. Sara? I can take her or leave her. Fishburn is OK but still think Grisson is the kingpin,

      • Yvonne

I have to agree that it is not the same as when Warrick was on.And Grissom was the heart and soul of the show. But I have not watch since then, but now that Sara is back I may have to watch to see when Grissom does.I love those baby blues. Watch him in Retrun to Lonesome Dove.He is a sexy cowboy and so hot.
