What is everyone’s issue with Ashlee Simpson? So she was lip synching on snl 100 years ago. Move on. I dont know how good an actress she was, but her music was fun. Maybe she can make another record.

  • Rion

Terrible news. Violet was a charming and entertaining psychopath following in the footsteps of Kimberly and Sydney. Simpson did crazy well.
Glad to see Auggie go, but I hope neither one of these characters are the killer.
A lighter tone is such a bad idea. Now I don’t really care if this show succeeds or fails anymore.

  • Tarc

Well, I’m glad to hear the cuts. Of the bunch, the two going away were to least skilled of the actors (by a mile). Subtract the bad, add Locklear, and jazz up the plotlines, and they’ll be sailing.

  • Lily

Colin is the best part of the show, the only handsome, the filmaker is soooo ugly and not sexy, the blond one is OK, but Colin is amazing!!!!!!

  • Nicole

Stupid idea to get rid of Augie. He’s probably one of the major factors in the ratings this show even gets. Yum.

  • Manju

Omg, this sounds desperate. If you want to change your show more into the demo of the network then at least be man enough to say it, and don’t pretend like this was your plan all along. Melrose Place’s dark edge was perfect, if I wanted to see sun, happy and funny, I’d watch 90210, Glee and repeats of Friends, I was so glad I had found my weekly soap opera, I don’t want to hear jokes on there!!

    • Jon-Michael

I agree…I personally think how Melrose Place is NOW is a lot better then 90210 cuz of the dark aspect of it. It made it kind of unique and it will be interesting to see after the change what happens to the ratings. But I don’t need another 90210!

And irregardless of how people view Ashlee’s acting I enjoyed her character and Colin’s. They were better than Riley + Jonah!

  • we need auggie to stay!!!!

this is horrible!!!!! why are they letting colin go! HUGE mistake! HUUUUUUUGE. he was one of the best characters on this show. seriously upsey :(

  • Chris

I really liked the murder mystery and Ashley Simpson…really sad to see them both go. Making Melrose Place kind of dark is what made it interesting. Why is the CW obsessed with turning all of their dramas into Gossip Girl? Different = Good!

  • leia

I would love to see Peter come back and mix it up with Amanda and Michael. Those three were my faves. Good to see Ashlee Simpson get the boot. That girl was stinkin up the place. The writing hasn’t been so hot, either. Bring back the fun!

  • Amanda

Pleased about Ashlee. Her acting was driving me crazy and bringing the show down. If only they weren’t getting rid of Auggie. Bad choice. So hot and probably one of the more likable character. Kinda hurts the show for me.

  • Ceballos

I’m sure the fact that these two were BY FAR the worst actors on the show had nothing to do with it. (Seriously, they were both laughably terrible.)

  • Drash

    Billy Campbell, seriously? LOL

Um, what about the Caleb character? I enjoyed that one a lot and hope he sticks around, eh??

  • Drash

Aaaand, what I totally forgot to say: YAAAAAAAAAAAAY. Violet and Augie were my two least favourite characters on the show – hated both their actings. Thank god.

  • Rissa

I’m with Ted. I’d also love for Peter to come back with Amanda. I hope the changes with the show work out. I was really enjoying the show so much more than I ever thought I would be.

  • Drash

    @Will
I HOPE they’re sticking with Med school callgirl Lauren. I love her storyline and I hope they’re not wrapping it up so soon only becaus the show wants to set the tone lighter…
