Bon Jovi + 'Burn Notice' + 'Psych' = 'Super' new USA spot

Planning to watch the premiere of USA Network’s White Collar tonight? Word of advice: Don’t fast-forward through the commercials — particularly if you’re a Bon Jovi fan. At some point during the show’s 72-minute episode (beginning at 10 pm/ET), the network will premiere the “Superman Tonight” track from Bon Jovi’s upcoming album The Circle over a nifty new character brand promo starring such USA MVPs as Jeffrey Donovan, Gabrielle Anwar, James Roday, Dule Hill, and Jeff Goldblum. This just in: An exclusive first look at the nifty spot is after the jump! (But you should still watch the commercials tonight. And then immediately go buy all the products advertised. If you don’t, the TV business may die and no one wants that.)

Anything with Bon Jovi works for me!

I agree – anything that Bon Jovi does it great to me!!!! Can’t wait for the “The Circle” Album and to watch documentary “When We Were Beautiful” Saturday at 9pm Showtime!!!

    eh… (too)

The spot reminded me a bit of the old HBO promos that they used to put on their DVDs. This is a good thing (positive comparison).

I liked the spot, very effective. Hopefully USA will try to put it out there other than on USA itself.

Thanks for droppin’ the spot! :)

Love it! This just makes me want to watch White Collar even more. I adore most USA shows, so I’m pretty sure I’ll like this one.

  • Emma

Videos pretty good. My only problem with it is the promotion of Goldblume just reminds me that Goren and Eames are leaving L&O:CI.
    :(

I can’t wait for White Collar tonight!!! I’ve loved Matt Bomer ever since he was on Guiding Light:-) The show looks great! Another reason USA is my favorite cable station for original programming!

  • Haven

USA seems to be the only channel…cable, network or otherwise that seems to know what it does and does it well. I salute them.

REALLY REALLY REALY wish Erbe would consider staying with CI and being Goldblum’s partner. those two were a good team, like in the claw in the promo where they grab the suspect. They see him walking down the street straight toward them after an exhaustive search. They gave a subtle looka t one another and starting a ‘married couple argument’ then as the walked by Jeff grabbed him and Kathryn drew the gun. She was a better partner than any of the B-team women.

I agree with you but I don’t think it was her choice. I get the feeling TBTB really wanted to focus on Goldblume. I don’t see them putting Erbe with him and then bringing in two totally new people and pairing them together.

GASP! Did we just get to see Natalie Morales in White Collar!! So exciting.
I love USA, it should leave cable behind become a network. Wouldn’t that be hilarious if NBC replaced all it’s shows with USA shows. Ah, to dream.

  • pink

It was o.k but not great.

  • Heather

Eh… but I do want to watch White Collar now and they do have a point for making some really good high-entertainment shows.

  • timotey

Great promo :) I hope that White Collar does well tonight. The show looks awesome! :)

  • michaelsacal

The tagline in that promo is sooo trouble… for instance, I still haven’t forgotten the 4400 and how much it sucks that it didn’t get a proper resolution (:P)
