What would a major multi-platform TV series launch be without a cool music video tie-in? Lame, that’s what. Of course, one could argue that the following clip — set to Muse’s new single, “Uprising” — is really just an extended promotional spot with music. But music video sounds way sexier. This is great! I thought it was going to be an original song though… in fact, I’d much prefer to see Adam Lambert do a “Space Oddity” type song for this show than that crap song he did for that crap movie by that crap director.
If they were to use Adam Lambert, I would have to kill somebody. I’m apprehensive enough about a remake of one of my all-time favorite series but to then go and use a tool like Adam Lambert..that would kill me.
I SO want to believe this isn’t going to stink. Nice job on the video, anyway. And everybody looks good. I think it’s a longshot, but I’ll be there. Good to see Muse penetrating the national consciousness, at the very least.

I didn’t think much about this show when I first heard of it, but these promos DO make it look cool.
I’m hoping something amazing happened to the pilot since Comic-Con because there’s nothing for the old V fans to hang on to after the one episode. Everything valuable from the entire first series is dumped into the pilot (sadly like ineffective garbage). Nothing to wait for (will they have this or that?) And I seriously hope the CG has been improved otherwise it’s a sad turn for some good actors.
I haven’t seen the pilot yet, nor have I seen the original 80s miniseries since I was born a couple years later. But isn’t it better that the V remake is not going to be exactly like the original? Maybe they’re putting a new spin on things. You shouldn’t watch just to wait for some of the memorable moments from the original to be redone. There could be new moments that will become memorable. Besides, I’ve heard that there will be moments that pay homage to the original without being an exact carbon-copy. I’ve always been a firm believer that if a remake of a TV show or movie need be made, at least do something new. Take some chances and make it your own. Probably one of the reasons why I thought the “Psycho” remake was one of the worst ideas ever.
