    Remember when broadcast TV used to play the national anthem and off the air at 1:00, broadcasting only static until the morning? That static was more engrossing TV than Melrose Place.

    First Melrose Place makes me happy by kicking off Ash Simpson. Now they infuriate me by hiring Nick Zano???
    I never thought Id say this but Id rather have Ash Simpson Back!!!!

    I dont watch cougar town or the makeover of the 90s tv series melrose place or Modern family.sorry.I like to watch Dancing with the stars.Thats a fun show to watch.

    Colin will do fine. He’s a good actor and not too bad on the eyes. If it’s anybody’s fault, it’s the writers. They are the ones that created Auggie…they gave him too much angst. The same thing happened when Colin was on All My Children just recently. He played Erica Kane’s newly discovered son, who we all thought didn’t exist since she had an abortion…please don’t ask! Anyhoo, the character Colin played on AMC was VERY angst ridden as you might have surmissed. The audience liked his character, Josh, but couldn’t get passed the fact that he was Erica’s long lost son. It didn’t help that Josh changed careers a bit much, even for a soap. If Colin played any other character, I’m sure he would be hugely popular. It’s AMC loss and now MP. Colin will do ok…I agree with a fellow poster that he should join Cougar Town!

    I liked Colin. Auggie’s storyline and character could have been reworked. I think it was a mistake to let him go.

    All new shows go thru cast additions and firings the first year, especially if the ratings are bad. They can see who’s popular, who’s not and somebody has to pay for Heather’s return out of the budget! That said, I’m excited about Nick Zano joining the show. I’m a fan of his and hopefully his character won’t be as angst ridden as Auggie. What I don’t get is Nicks growing reluctance to shed his shirt. Heck, if I looked like him, I’d have it in my contract to NEVER wear a shirt. Also, it’s Melrose Place so they’re gotta be some eye candy for the gals and the gays! Good luck Nick!
