i’m loving this season, and as long as the rest is as good, i would totally love a season 10! any day i get to watch how adorable tom welling is is a good day! and lois and clark are so cute!
PLEASE NO MORE SMALLVILLE, i love the show but they need to end at season 9!!! for the sake of the show PLEASE STOP with the seasons, quit while ur ahead!!! its not event he same without lex and lana!
SMALLVILLE is the best show in the world ! yes we want a 10 and 11th season !! we also plead for the money people at warner bros to bless tom welling with a nice payday so we can see him in the cape !!! it would be devestating for me never to see him as superman ! he would be the greatest superman that has ever been !
If you don’t like the show then just change the channel! Stop wasting your time and our time with these pointless “this show sucks comments”. Its a great show with a great fanbase! keep up the good work!
This show sucks.
I second that. This show sucks.
I agree with Tyson. If they can’t send the show off the right way in the 9th season, then they should do it in the 10th. Regardless, it has to have a great ending with all loose ends tied up. A 200th episode would be awesome. It’s an amazing milestone for any show. The zombie episode this season was the best! Lois has to find out the truth about Clark by the end. Best part of The New Adventures of Lois and Clark was that she found out and they got married. A movie with all the cast members would be ok too if they have loose ends to tie up.
I would love for Lois to find out, but I don’t think they can do that because of the mythos.
Yes, I want a season 10, please make it happen, CW. Please!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully there will be a Season 10. I’m liking season 9 so much more than the previous seasons.
I would love a tenth season if they actually got back to the story they’ve been telling from the beginning, the journey of Clark and Chloe, not “Who Lois Has A Crush On This Week.” Believe me, plenty of ex-fans know it’s on Fridays, but we are actively boycotting it.
As long as Season can be wrapped up nicely, I think I could be okay with not getting a tenth season. It seems that there’s a lot of enthusiasm for a Season 10, and I definitely share that enthusiasm.
Good storytelling is my top priority for Smallville. Getting to see another year of Tom Welling’s amazing rendition of Clark’s journey and another year to see the continued development of his relationship with Lois Lane (played by the beautiful and talented Erica Durance) would be a real treat. I think these two are just part of the many ingredients which give the show continued energy and promise for a potential tenth season.
I wish the show and all those behind it all the best as they approach the challenges of whether S9 or S10 will be their last.
Hopefully we do get a season 10. Season 9 has been great so far.
Big Smallville fan got to get 10 SEASONS
Season 10 please! I just wish they move it back to an earlier weekday, Friday is a terrible timeslot! But I’m still watching!
i thought i read somewhere yesterday on an advertising blog that smallville’s dvr numbers have skyrocketed this year (they mentioned it’s one of the few bright spots for the cw…). anyone else see/hear anything like that? i know i dvr it and watch it saturday mornings with a cup of coffee, some herbal hangover cure, and a bowl of cereal.
.
as for smallville going 10… i’m all for a comic presense on tv, and smallville has moments of greatness. as long as we eventually see 1) clark fly and 2) the superman digs, count me in.
I’ve also read that the show gets a big boost from DVR numbers.
My husband and I just got into the show last year, so for it to end this year would be too soon! I hope they do a season 10!
Nope; it barely had a season eight, and season nine is only DC guest star after guest star instead of focusing in on their cast.
Newsflash: People know it’s on Fridays, they also know it’s no longer the story of Clark, Lex, Lana and Chloe. The entire core cast of the series (Kristin Kreuk, Michael Rosenbaum, John Glover, Annette O’Toole, John Schneider, even Aaron Ashmore) are all gone. OF those that are left from the Pilot, bot Tom Welling and Allison Mack are being used a lot less.
It’s not the same show. Without getting back to their main characters of seven years, it can never be the same show.
So, instead, an attempted reboot – which isn’t selling. If they want a season ten, they would do better to focus on what long term characters they have left in Clark and Chloe, and work at getting Michael Rosenbaum back some how. If I saw signs of the show being what it was back on the WB, and back even last year, I’d tune in.
But my not watching this year has NOTHING to do with Friday nights and everything to do with the writing.
Let’s be honest the show has been losing fans bigtime since S2 when all the characters were on the show. It’s just the natural progression of ratings for a show.
In S2 the show had 7.8M viewers on average, by the end of S7 it was down to 4.2M.
That’s a loss of 3.6M viewers over that time period. S8 lost only about 350k from that amount. As for S9, I think using Ugly Betty as an example of how much Friday nights effect a show, both have a very similar drop in viewership percentage wise(UB actually slightly higher). Terminator also lost roughly 30-40 percent of there viewers with the Friday Night move as well.
Given their treatment of Rosenbaum, they’d have to have something fantastically interesting for him to come back. And they’d have to let him have hair. But I am certainly not opposed to seeing MR with a nice mane of red locks. Woo!
Ratings; Yes, all shows lose rating, but not the ratings hemorrhage that they’ve suffered this year. Not to mention the demos are just in the toilet.
