Aus…come on. It’s PROSELYTIZING, not prosthelytizing. And before any of y’all start harping on me about spelling, yes, it does matter, because this is a global entertainment news magazine with a responsibility to be literate and at least somewhat educated. Or at least smart enough to use a spell checker before publishing for the world to see.

  • ndzong

im a gay dude but lemme just be shallow for a sec. i think adrianna is the hottest female character on that show so I think that’s why they gave her this storyline.

  • Evie

Adding a gay guy wouldn’t be bad but what I really want is Navid and Adrianna back together. Bring back the Brad and Angelina of 90210!!!

  • Nikki

I know! Bring back Navid and Ade! They have their share of drama, sure, but when they’re good, they’r really good together.

  • nikki

    nooooo… DON’T make Liam gay
i will honestly stop watching the show. hes the hottest guy on there. jasper gay is not a bad concept…i really cant stand him and hey why not make him even worse. as for the whole idea of having ‘multiple gay relationships’ i find it disturbing. i understand we live in the 21st century and its a part of life, but since when does 90210 or television in general portray an accurate depiction of reality. tv is created to design an idealistic and superficial image of life and by having gay realtionships on a show it would not only wrongly encourage young people but express that its ‘ok’ and totaly normal to be gay. having gay relationships will also put off christian followers- as it goes agaisnt their beliefs. ps. i know i sound homophobic- but im not-i just dont support this idea.

    • whale sweater

no, you are homophobic. and offensively ignorant.

    • AJ

it is ok and totally normal to be gay. nikki you have serious problems. and you’re a definate homophobe.

    • Suzie

why would christian ‘followers’ watch a show which is filled with ‘sins’, drug abuse, alcohol, sex before marriage etc anyways?

  • whale sweater

“i really cant stand him and hey why not make him even worse” the fact that you consider someone being gay making him “worse” says it all. there are plenty of people who are accepting of others and not hateful who don’t think a gay-free world is “idealistic”. the sooner you accept that you ARE homophobic the better.

  • Alexandra

Haha thought I was the only one who thought navid and Ty
screamed gay lol…not derogatory….they’re just such pretty boys esp. Ty….navid always wears tight
    clothes
but he’s getting better lol…and how come on tv the only kinds of gay guys are the ones who love fashion and pedicures…there are plenty of masculine gay guys

    • AJ

when the show started i thought they were going to do a storyline where navid was in love with dixon it seemed so obvious. when he got together with adrianna i was confused.

  • Dan

I’m against the whole Gia/Adrianna love story. I mean, I have nothing against gay people, but why Adrianna? I like Adrianna/Navid. Screw Gia!

  • danny

We’ve had quite a few good gay characters over here in the Uk. Both Skins and Shameless have superb examples (both male and female) of both gay characters and relationships.
Most soaps here really push the boat out with their gay storylines I especially liked the Hollyoaks one with John-Paul and Craig.
Even Doctor Who has done good gay characters (Hell in Torchwood every single one of the main characters had a gay kiss at some point in the series.)
So yeah come here, watch our shows you won’t be disapointed

I completely agree Danny. Hello from Bristol, UK by the way haha.

I forgot about John-Paul and Craig, what a superb story that was and it deserved its high praise!

Emily and Naomi from Skins are another stand out couple for me, such a well crafted story.

  • ady

i have just one question, after adrianas-gia´s romance end, is adriana going back with navid or wtf

  • CM

I also really liked Adrianna and Navid together and thought it was stupid that they broke up, but hey, I guess that’s prime time soaps for you. It seems out of character that she would now be gay. I was a huge Buffy fan, but felt the same way about Willow. Her werewolf boyfriend breaks her heart and suddenly she’s gay? Is that how it works? I just want a bit more imagination, is all I’m saying. I agree, Teddy, as the newcomer, would have been a good character to introduce, but without any fanfare. it’s not like the other characters arrive on scene and wave their hands saying, “Look at me, I’m hetero! Watch me kiss someone of the opposite sex!”

Unfortunately, I am very disappointed. I believe in what the bible says, and at the end of the day, it’s the relationship between God and that person. People were not meant to rule over, nor decide for, others.

Television shows and certain celebrities are trying to make a difference and be different. By throwing unnecessary gay storylines into their shows, they are degrading and lower them to less than they were before.

Hearing comments from the LGBT community, no one is making a true difference. People are scarring others worse by force. There is a double standard, but the world let it happen. Instead of filthy television all-around, crack down on the straight/women/etc controversays. Stop degrading life and morale.

  • josh

being gay is a pshycological disease !!! they are ruining the show with this crap

    • Suzie

how idiotic and ignorant can you get? homosexuality isn’t a biological or psychological ‘disease’ its all about how you feel, just because you’re attaracted to the same sex doesn’t make anyone an outcast. Its unbelievable that people still think in such a way.

  • J, Bristol, UK

    Hmmmm..

Not sure what to make of this storyline. The best lesbian storyline I’ve seen recently is that of Emily/Naomi on a show over here called Skins and the storyline in question has received a lot of acclaim for its portrayal of a lesbian couple but instead of focusing on the “OMG TWO GIRLS!!” it was merely about two people who loved eachother and it avoid all the awful cliches that have been seen before.

Oh and Josh.. You really think people who are gay have a disease? Your ignorance holds no bounds does it? Geez.

  • anna

i think that gay people are demanding too much. come on they are the minority, why does all the characters have to become gay? i think they are using it only to boost ratings, but hopefully they will have more good ideas to conitnue the story rather than making it a gay pregram.
