So much for those promises of peace. V destroyed the competition last night. Read the full post.

They had to get a lot into the pilot, they didn’t have a 4 hour mini series to start them off like the original! I thought it was a good start and can’t wait to see what else they do with it.

It wasn’t as good as the hype to me. But I will give it a chance and hang in there.

I am 32 and i loved the first V back in the 80′s, but this one, WOW. While the first episode seems to be moving very fast into the “future” and breezing over the 80′s version of the first few weeks, i must say, i loved it. I was excited before watching it and i am very happy to watch again and again and again.

Surprisingly, I have no desire to watch this, and I usually like sci-fi shows. I do remember watching the original V, but then growing bored with it. Not to mention it airs at the same time as my NCIS. Sorry. Gibbs and Co. will win out every time. All other networks are doomed to failure during that time block in my house.

I sorry I could not watch V on Direct Tv in Jax FL. There was a problem with the program and I kept check through out the program I have no ideal what the problem was they gave other channel to watch it on but didn’t have the service for those channel. I wanted to watch my man Morris. I never had this problem with Comcast.

    Yes.

I’ll keep watching even though I think I know where it’s going. I caught the original “V” marathon last weekend.

Last season when ABC cancelled Pushing Dasies and Dirty Sexy Money, my reponse was to stop watching ABC after LOST series finale. Then I heard that Elizabeth Mitchell was going to be in V and that it was going to be on ABC. So Yes I did watch the pilot and yes I will continue watching the show because I will support anything that houses Elizabeth Mitchell. One of my goals is to watch her accept an Emmy…I do hope her screen time in the final season of LOST will contribute to her finally getting that nomination she was so wrongfully denied for the past three years.

Having been a fan of the original series…
I think it was a great pilot and I’m going to keep watching. I liked the choices for the cast, especially the twist of the ‘visitors’ who are rebelling against the agenda of their own species.

Too much plot too soon. Too bad! The actors are talented and could have done better but a script that revealed the mysteries slowly and peeled away the facades inch by inch. It’s like reading the end of a novel before finishing the first paragraph. What were the writers thinking???

I’m not hooked, and I wanted to be. I actually wished ABC had launched it as a mini-series a la the original (or BSG). I’ll give it one or two more episodes.

Does anyone know if there are any plans to bring back Marc Singer’s character?
